I have 2.5 Million Emails what is the Process?

I have access to 2.5 million email addresses. They have all purchased a weightless product and are located in the US. The list was built over a 7 year period (most over the last 2 years)so I'm looking for a process/system to "clean" the list and get the users to opt-in on a landing page....so they are "fresh".

So I'm looking for a flow diagram with recommended services/hosts. Basically the process to run these email addresses through. Also any copy writing service for the email content would be good.

I think a good flow diagram (visual) would be beneficial to the forum... I'm happy to share my results after following the best system.

Use "search" button on the left side at the top. Don't share that list, if it is niche targeted, huge profits can be made.
 
I've never dealt with a list anywhere close to this big, but in the past I've used Wysija Wordpress plugin to send out my emails. You can limit how many to send per hour so it doesn't lockup your web server and helps to ensure the mail doesn't get delivered in the junk folder.

Also for content writing, I have someone great that we use for all of our content. Let me know if you need his contact information.
 
Look through zen19's 40million in 10000hours post, it also involves emailing, optin, offers, matching, etc and has a lot of nice flow diagrams.

Might be a bit over your head though :)

I'm mobile now so i can't draw a flow diagram, but you can use a commercial mailer to sent emails to these email addresses. They charge for sending messages though and this might get expensive quick with 2.5 mil addresses.
You can also get a VPS that allows emailing, setup Interspire Email Marketer (look in the download section) and start mailing yourself.
It might be beneficial to get multiple IP's and a rotator to sent this much mails, or simply use multiple VPSses and split the list between them.

If you like you can first copywrite to get them to surf to an optin page and optin again, or you can just start sending offers weekly.
IEM allows you to include an unsubsribe link, will filter out dead addresses if configured to receive bounces, can do pixel tracking, can do clickthrough tracking, etc

If this isn't a public list then there is HUGE amounts of money to be made, you'll probably get a lot of PM's about people wanting to JV with you but if I were you I would learn how to send emails on your own and keep 100% of the profit.

If it's a public list you just downloaded it's probably worthless so don't waste your time.

It's not a public list, it's quality and not purchased.. and that's all I'm sayn ;)

Mainly looking for service providers on the tech side for setting up the servers the right way for getting the emails sent in to the Inbox. And consulting on the strategy/copywriting for what is being sent and landing page content/hosting.

if its optin (usa) it isn't spam. best also to follow CANSPAM rules (like telling them how to unsubscribe, include the postal address of your company etc)
if its europe you just need to provide unsubscribe and make sure you don't sent to optout lists
(you best don't send to optout lists since some recipients might be in europe)
 
You might want to run the list through an email verification software/service like GSA email verifier... you said some of those are 7 years old. Might be good to scrub through the list to check for syntax errors, if the domains are still up, mailboxes functioning, etc. Just to make sure you've got a streamlined list which will cut down your sending costs.

That's one massive list list BTW :)

It may look complicated at first but it's not. To blast 2.5M/day you would need approx 50 IPs that are "warmed up" or 2 c blocks ( ~500 ) of brand new ones. This is the minimum, in this case you will need to replace them after each blast, so you better not buy them. You don't want to take the heat for this :)

The problem is not the tech side, that's easy. Problem is getting IP ranges.
I'd suggest you go with someone who already does mailing, try the BST section.

If you want I can help you sort through the email addresses. I wrote an eMail Verifier bot a while ago that checks if an email address is valid and if it is able to receive emails.
