What solution are these sites using?
Hi,
I have seen several new sites that got high traffic in short period of time and an Alexa rank below 1000, like startpins or alnaddy and others
can any one tell me what they tools they are using?
i found many people complaining about their toolbars that were installed on there browser without their knowledge and they change the browser's home page to those sites
so how they made these toolbars and how did they distribute them?
thanks

google their names and look at the search results. do you really want to take that approach? I see virus and malware mentioned a lot.

Thanks, it is not that i want to take that approach, but i just want to know how they did it, and if that approach is illegal and based on viruses why google shows them, and some of them are using Adsense and google is paying them,
like alnaddy it was unknown site but in 2012 it became very famous because of that approach and google is paying them hundreds of dollars monthly, although they are using a virus to spread!

Re: What solution are these sites using?
Here is the method they are using:
1. Buy alexa membership for your site
2. With buying membership on alexa, you weill get certificated website stats, and every visitor will be count as real visitor.
3. They buy cheap fake traffic.

IF its verified that google is paying them since some time now, then it means they are not doing anything illegal. It may be possible that they just started using this tech of tool bars being installed without user's consent and as soon as google catches them they will be banned at google + the site will be listed in phishing list.
