I dont normally watch captcha's getting solved LOL its boring but using ZP today i noticed DeathbyCaptcha sometimes only returns the one word for googles captchas.

You know the ones where it shows a random generated word/letters and a word scanned from a book or something. Used to be you could just enter the random generated part and it would pass. Not any more though seems google now require both parts.

Tested it an out of 10 captchas sent 1 was an error, 6 were missing the other word and 3 were correct. Was I just unlucky or would this go someway to explaining why senuke is burning through my credits recently?

They use that service to id numbers from street view as well. It seems like they are stepping up a gear on gathering info if that parts no longer optional. </paranoid>

Hi tb303,

I'm James, a Rep. from Death By Captcha : )

I'm sincerely sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you; our workers are penalized by this behavior, and this isn't certainly the normal outcome we give out for reCAPTCHAs. Please PM me your DBC username and I'll take a look at your submissions.

I'd recommend that if you're getting failed results because of this, you can always report the image as wrongly decoded and you won't pay for it (the responsibility of marking CAPTCHAs as incorrect relies on your software / script)

We're currently working on improving our correctness rates for all CAPTCHAs, to ensure something like this doesn't happen again.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if anything,

Best Regards,
