Are there any useful apps or scripts for linux (desktop or server) that do the usual things that all these other neat windows based seo apps do? Preferably free/opensource stuff since I'm just a penniless noob at the moment. :o

So basically are there any linux tools to do..

keyword research
article scraping and/or spinning
auto-account creation on various web2.0 or other platforms
auto-posting on blogs/forums/bookmarks etc
anything else?

I know some windows apps may work with wine or possibly with a windows vps but I'm looking for native linux stuff.

I may write my own stuff eventually if nothing suitable exists but that takes time and I'd rather just get to work on making money first! Surely there must be some stuff out there for linux already though, right?!

Answering myself but anyway, apparently there is LinkAssistant which is part of SEO PowerSuite and runs on linux, mac and windows.

Costs $249 for the pro version though and $599 for enterprise. There is a free version though..

Does anyone here use it? Is it good? How does it compare with other similar tools?

Well personnally i use their premium Rank Tracker, and i use a nulled version of Spyglass and Linkassistant. (Web site auditor i rarely use it)

It is more an analysis suite of tools more than a real SEO tool which produces backlinks.

You may want to look into wine.

Could you provide the nulled version of Spyglass and Linkassistant?
