Which is the best one that you'd recommended and use? I've done some searches and found The Best Spinner and Spin Rewriter seem to pop up every now and then.

Hey man, I don't know your personal purpose with spinning software, but, have a look in the downloads section at my free software 'spintax generator'. Maybe you find some use for it!

I'm after changing articles so they are still unique, but still very readable to visitors, so not just for Google's SEO benefit

Then you'll have to put in a lot of manual work. I have found that creating manual sentence spins (1 original + 4 spun sentences) and then loading all the sentences with phrase,synonym and nested spins to be the most effective. It will not only be human readable, it will also give you high percentage of uniqueness per spin. I use multispinner (free version) and have found it useful.
