hey,

couldnt find a post about this. I'm willing to use free proxies for URL gathering/PR checking. But want to purchase Proxies for blasts.

How many private or shared proxies (what do you prefer) would I need, I am just starting out with SB. So wouldn't need as many as you big gunners. But still will be doing alot of URL gathering and blasting.

Also there are many people offering private and shared proxies on BHW aswell as google. Whats your most reliable?

I can't understand how private proxies will prevent your domain from being blacklisted by Akismet? After your first 10k blast with Scrapebox you will hit so many webmasters with Akismet running on their blogs and your domain will be manually marked as sp4m so many times that you can't just imagine :D So why spending money on proxies?
 
private proxies will give you more chance of having your comment posted, its not always your domain, web 2.0 sites are useful for this too

i use yourprivateproxy.com it's been great to me (i get 10 new proxies every month, $30/mo)

Can you please explain how exactly will a private proxy improve the chance of having your comment posted?
Akismet will see a banned domain and a fresh IP (your private proxy). The result? You comment won't be approved.
 
why dont you just save the failed ones and repost. saves u money that you can use on something you really need.
 
I think what Bryan is trying to say above is that if you blast links at web 2.0 properties when the blog owners with akismet mark your comments as spam, akismet flags the web 2.0 properties as spam, not your main site.
 
Here's how I use it:

Use free proxies for scraping and private proxies for posting. Private proxies increases the posting speed and success rate. If you just starting out you could manage with 4-5 privates.

I use unreals proxies, here's his thread and website:

Fantastic service from top to bottom.

Just a tip, to avoid the complaints have one or more in between pages (more the better) pointed towards your domain.

Example:
YourWebsite URL1 <- 2.0 Page <- Blog
YourWebsite URL2 <- 2.0 Page <- Blog
YourWebsite URL3 <- 2.0 Page <- Blog
YourWebsite URL4 <- 2.0 Page <- Blog

Basically create a bunch of 2.0 pages (high ranking blogs, wiki's, whatever) with a link towards your page(s). Then use those 2.0 links during your posting vs directly towards your domain.

Private proxies are great, dependable and I've got nothing bad to say about them.

However, if you know where to look and aren't scraping the same public proxies that everyone else is then there is tons of free proxies out there that have not been abused.

Personally, I've run large campaigns using public proxies (not the ones scraped with SB) with fantastic results. The trick was to harvest those proxies from areas of the web that SB doesn't automatically draw from.

I don't think I feel like sharing my sources and all my secrets but you can accomplish a lot with free Proxies. In fact, within 15 minutes I can have quite a long list of Elite proxies from the public use variety and I can almost guarantee you 100% success rate as well as speed and reliability.
 
There are lots of places from where you can find free proxies... SB list are used by thousands of people so they will always go down very fast... Check Google and pick sources which are not added by default in scrapebox forum or which requires free registration before you can pick proxies... There are good number of such sources which can give you better proxies then usual SB...

Still free proxies are shared by lots of people and will always go down early or lots of people can use it at the same time and making your posting failed... That's why we use private proxies so we can have more successful posting... Volume of proxies depends upon your work... I am using yourprivateproxie.com and got 100 private proxies right now...

I don't use these proxies for harvesting, got another list for it... These proxies are used only for commenting... I have fair success in getting ranked for lots of good keywords through SB blast... Also I don't blast my money sites using SB only web 2.0

linking the web 2.0 sites is exactly what I'll be doing. So proxies for posting and free proxies for harvesting.

So I've got about a few linkwheels atm. How many proxies should I get, 3-5 as I'm starting out? How many per 100,000 blasts?

Just get 10 private proxies... Don't go below that you need some variations... Try to keep atleast 100 different comments ( not thank you type comment lol)... Don't blast on every url of any domain... Keep few or at one time pick only one url from any domain... Unique domain blast will help more without putting any harm to site and will have more chance of getting approved...
 
Does that include web 2.0 domains?

I only used free proxies and I got 60% posted rate in the first post. I test my proxies every 4 hours. I blast 360k yesterday with no problem.
 
really? thats quite high. Um do I'm guessing you use alternate sources than the normal lists picked up from the SB software?

Yes, Im using other sources. You just find a public proxy source that is not abused by scrapebox. I used 500- 600 proxies with timeout not higher than 6000.

if you are using public proxies, simply test them before your blast and you will get a good success rate; if you are using private ones, then you you will have to do fewer blasts and that will save you some time. I am also having a good success rate with free/public proxies, but what you use is entirely up to you...
 
As of now Im in the process of gathering a neat proxy source list that I will be probably be selling later...

Still cleaning it up... But each test is giving more than 10k Good proxies...

I use 100-400 proxies per blast and blast directly to my money site

how many spinned comments do you use at one blast and how old is your money site ?
