using pingler on forums

I have several forums, and I was wondering if there's a good way to ping my forums using the pinger services?

I currently have rss feeds for the latest 50 posts of my forum, and I have submitted them to RSS feeds directories... once every week.

But I need to know how to use pinger.com or is that only for blog sites, not forums.
