Default Black Hat Software On A Mac?

A lot of BH Apps seem to be built on a windows platform. I know theres a windows emulator or something of the sort on a mac. Is it anygood? The reason I ask is I might be getting a mac but before I make the purchase is there anyone here who lost a lot of software support going from a PC to a Mac?

I use a mac once in a while. I use VMware Fusion so I can run Windows at the same time I am running OSX. Fusion has what they call "unity mode" which basically seamlessly integrates your Windows applications into OSX. You honestly forget you're running Windows in the background.

But to answer your question, I don't know of any blackhat software made specifically for Mac.

VMWare Fusion is great. It's not actually an emulator...it runs Windows within a dedicated amount of RAM that you set.

Haven't lost any software. I use Fusion for all my black hat apps and any time I need to check something in IE etc., and I do everything else on my mac. Some great little apps: launchbar, notational velocity, adium, coversutra, betterzip, textmate, and macirssi.

Satoshi have you used parallels at all? Any one else?
I am asking as I have heard a few people now say they find VMWare Fusion really good but I am trying to get an apples for apples comment.

My parallels is good no doubt about that but I am finding its slowing my system down at times and thats annoying. Wondering if VMWare would be an improvement?

Yeah, I was using Parallels initially and gave up on it because of the instability, but this was back on Tiger. Right around the time Leopard came out, I switched to VMWare, and I continue to use it on Snow Leopard.

As for slowing down your system, yeah Parallels has some overhead, but what mostly affects it is how much RAM you allocate to it. OS X in general shines when it has 4 gigs to itself. I have 6 on this and I allocate 2 to VMWare when it's running.

It is worth a shot just to see...there's a demo and it can import parallels vm's. I found it much better and much more stable than Parallels at the time.

I have a Mac. They're so much better compared to PCs... except on the software front.

I had to buy an old PC, just so I could get decent software to help with my sites. Parallels is good for short periods, but nothing more.

The only MAc compatible software I have come across on my travels is MarketSamurai and Link Assistant, but neither are blackhat like you want.

I use fusion, but lately got a bit fucked off with going between (although never tried unity mode?) so used an old desktop just to run the few apps i need to run on the unstable amusement arcade that is Windose.

Market Samurai is apparently quite handy and installs on mac as it's made in Adobe Air. I've not been able to actually work out how best to use the tool yet, but I'm sure many people on this forum could sing praises.
