Did anybody try to use catchall subdomains for your splogs?

So when comment spamming, you put links on the targetted blogs like

mysubdomain1.mydomain.com/path
mysubdomain2.mydomain.com/path
mysubdomain3.mydomain.com/path
...

and/or the subdomains/path pairs return a permanent redirect to your actual site mydomain.com/path ?

If Akismet uses a regular expression to define a URL address then it may work, however one of the annoying things about Akismet is that they have such a dynamic response team, they usually fix glitches and such within several days.

... think you are right. If they don't care about that currently, they will probably in the future and I am not so interested in such "zero-day-exploits".

I can confirm it works.

One of my domains is blocked in wp / askimet. When using the same domain but then a subdomain in front of it, it looked like it came thru the spam protection. That said the next step will be they put that subdomain on their list.

Anyone know what the daily limit of comments per domain is for Akismet?
