My Experience With Xrumer - Long Frustrating Worthwhile Journey
So I bought Xrumer about 4 months ago. Immediately started using it on my 3 year old site. We were targeting local search terms. The site already had a few hundred back links.
Well we ranked fast for about everything! This is after a few million blasts. We stayed there until Sept 1st. And then BAM out of no where the site just disappeared. It first slipped like 25 pages... then just gone... Traffic ground to a halt.
In the meantime yahoo and Bing started loving us, the site started ranking #1 for almost everything on Bing. And for a great majority of the terms on Yahoo...
Google was dead, and 2 months went by and we still weren't in Google. I gave up and stopped working on the project. We were in the middle of securing venture capital to take the business to the next level too. But to my amazement I checked my statistics for the first time in 2 months... Holy crap... I'm getting google traffic.... and a lot of it!
My site had returned in the index... and this time even stronger! I'm dominating the #1-3 spots for almost every keyword now!
So success with Xrumer! Big yes! Scary... Yes! Was it worth it? HELL YES

This always happens after you build backlinks at a faster rate..Google screens these websites, Most probably manually but I am not sure about that

Re: My Experience With Xrumer - Long Frustrating Worthwhile Journey
What happened to your site is a textbook definition of the google sandbox. Although because you said you blasted a few million sites, i'm sure that the age of your site had an important role in the fact that it came back
Anyways, congrats on your results.

Re: My Experience With Xrumer - Long Frustrating Worthwhile Journey
Sandbox certainly. It seems even for an aged domain you over did it. From a few hundred backlinks to the amount of sites you blasted is just too many. Most people don't want a site to disappear for a couple of months. I would keep building links or it will look suspicious although if you haven't done anything in the two months you disappeared you are probably past that.

No dedi server, just running on my desktop, but I've got pretty good bandwidth here on fiber. 10mb dl / 3.5mb up. So I can run about 600 posts per minute.

You should invest in a old 512MB RAM system just for xrumer, might increase it's posts per hour due to more threads and dedicated ram.

So how many backlinks does the site have now after blasting a few million URL's? It was on a few hundred before, what's it got now?

After all that it sits at about 3800 urls in site explorer.
Although personally at this point I don't know if Xrumer had a role in my getting sandboxed, see what happened was at the same time as doing that I removed the dynamic URL structure and forgot to 404 the dead pages, as a result I had about 90k 404 errors on the site according to webmaster tools. So I feel this may have been a reason to blacklist me.
PR increased to 3, and most of the inner pages all got PR2

Re: My Experience With Xrumer - Long Frustrating Worthwhile Journey
Thanks for sharing your story. I'm interested in potentially getting this program. If you dont mind, i just have a couple questions. Did you use proxies? Did you use one type of link building technique (blog posting) or did you use all the features? How long did it take you to learn how to use the program?

Yes, it does. There were some problems at first but now it seems to run smoothly. Just to be on the safe side, you can run it in compatibility mode ( right click-> properties -> run this program in windows xp)

Hi im just getting to grips with Xrumer myself too. What setting do you use, I badly need to improve my success rates. I see other Xrumer posts on forums and yet I fail to post on thise forums, my settings must be wrong.
If anyone can advise me on this please pm me...

How did you linked your website?
All links to main page
or
few links to all subpages?
Now I'm testing my theory, that linking many subpages make website stronger in Google. When website is strong, than your new subpages get high rankings without linking. For now I'm not sure if it's a true.
