Cheap Writing Does Not Pay

writers-meme.jpg

It is becoming increasingly tiresome to read thread after thread where members are continually asking for cheap articles. Let?s make it crystal clear you get what you pay for!

All websites need good content but when you publish spun crap and tardy difficult to read cheap articles, long term this comes back to haunt you.

Look English is a universal language hence there is always a relaxation acceptance on grammar nazi articles. But what is usually on offer with cheap writing sources is that the structure is amiss, spelling is hit and miss. Stops, commas et al are all over the shop and much more?

But what really irks me about cheap writing is that more than 90 times out of 100, the main keyword density is not applied. Plus where are the long tail keywords within the article.

Typically I get this retort when I ask about long tail keywords from a cheap writer ? ?Err you what? What is a long tail keyword??

As referenced above a relaxation on grammar is no big issue on an article that reads well, has correct spelling, brings in viral traffic, accelerates indexing on the search engines et al.

Last but not least articles that convert into $$$$$$ and/or bring in viral ad revenue are the only way to go to ensure short and long term benefits.

Cheap Writing Does Not Pay?

I couldn't agree more with you.
In fact, being at the other side of the board, I am trying to outsource my services (article writing, english-spanish translations) and offering SEO in my work, and I am getting tired of people trying to devaluate the work, paying pennies or not hiring you at all.

I don't know what is worse, trying to do the right thing, or act like a mediocre professional selling crap to the clients. I want to do things right but clients ask for crap as well, making you to work the wrong way. And we need to work to earn money, so if you are not lucky to get hired by a serious client, you are forced to work inappropriately. Honestly, I hate that...

$1/100 words are only good for link building as in web 2.0's and such. From $2/100 words you can start getting some quality so basically anyone paying under $2 per 100 words shouldn't complain when he can't rank either with natural or self built backlinks.

You pay more to get:-

1- Better research on the topic from real authority websites discussing the subject so the article delivers information to the reader opposed to some random rewritten ezinearticles.com content you get with $1/100 words articles.

2- Far better grammar and rich vocabulary from either native English speaker or a fluent foreigner who is college graduate where language functions are perfectly applied.

tl;dr You get what you pay for...

as a new writer i approve .

i was purchasing articles but if some one will write too many articles a day then quality will be fucked .

today i wrote my first article for my own blog and it was easy , a good person can write 1500 - 2500 words a day and quality will be good .

if you got ranked for a keyword then if your readers will like it then they can become returning visitors .

content is king [ but king needs kingmakers ]

NO you are so right. Many do not realize that when you buy cheap content, you are only hurting your site. If you are not going to have a decent budget to do a site properly, then in my opinion you should do nothing at all. NO one wants to read content that is not proper.

Publish this thread
Craiglist it
Commerce it
on TV/Radio whatever
and on TOP of it: send this message to all writing site,... They have gone way to cheap
just recently I came along from a 150 word Spanish to German for MASSIVELY $1.01 WTF

As a writer, I fully agree with you. I charge higher rates than $1 per 100 words, but you will not need to edit my content. In fact, I used to write for $1 a 100 words, but the client was not going to receive well researched content. If you have the time to edit an article for 20 minutes, the cheaper content is going to suffice. If you want well written content that converts, content that really provides substance, content that you want to build a business off of, it will cost you more. I have had people ask why my rates are higher in the past before deciding to hire me, but some of them will never understand. If a 500 word article is written at the rock bottom price of $5, it is unthinkable that I could spend more than a few minutes researching the topic. You want editing to be done as well? Well, that article can easily fall into the 40+ minute range. A good writer might as well give up at this point because they will be left making $7 an hour. Now, for $2 a 100 words, I can make a decent wage and truly spend time on your content. Sometimes, I will know the topic quite well and can write a few articles an hour, but if I do not, I can still do a fair bit of research to ensure your article has substance.

Totally agree with you. People want cheap articles, but at the same time they want to earn A LOT from them. It's childish dreams and it's definitely not going to happen. You can earn some quick money with those cheap articles but you are losing big way in the long run.

My view on content is weather you pay $2 or $20, the content is going to be bad. Of course this is just my view on quality content.

A chinese person that has low level of English can still produce great content, how? Imagine that person had access to the Iphone 6 with proof, and revealled all specs with a review, would his article be bad? No, his article would go viral on social networks and recieve loads of links.

Now imagine a UK writer working at minimum wage, $20 = 2 hours. That person then researches and writes an article about standard hinges for doors.

Which article do you think is going to be more beneficial to you?

Educate people with something new, make people laugh, produce content that is fresh to the world, create content that people want to share with friends. This applies to any kind of content such as videos and images.

How many standard articles do you see ranking in the top 3 spots of google? if you can do that then rinse and repeat and make your millions.

Top post don't we all wish it was that easy...

Having people offering cents per article is really offensive. For this cain of "money" you get what you pay.

Which article writing service on BHW would you guys recommend for quality content? For example a quality product review article, could any of you share a link?

Let?s make it crystal clear you get what you pay for!

One shouldn't ignore acts ultra vires practiced by those suffering from the auri sacra fames. For example, where you pay for something and don't get it, or you pay too much for something because you assume it's priced according to its quality. Caveat emptor!
