I am a complete noob, but I have a unique idea and I am planning on making a website in a certain mini-niche, that includes movie fans and generates content connected with a film for free. The target group would be mainly from USA, but it is not region restricted. It is just a simple generator, a simple site with little and mostly static content. I hope I can get 1000-2000 visitor per month, the first couple of months. What can I expect as an income and what services should I use? Acceopt from google adds what else can I use to make profit and what profit should I expect.

First off turn the idea into reality Do It!

Build the website then worry about the revenue streams!

You put together a smart enough noob post. On that basis I am sure you will make money with the website...

Thank you. The project is in progress and we are building it up, but I am not going to give details before it is ready. The content is not big and the target group is specific, but the idea is something that is not offered although the movie is out there for so long.

It generates your name in Latin into Klingon symbols. This site is dedicated to trekies only and they will be 99% of the audience I guess. What monetization method would you recommend to me? I am starting to give up on AdSense concept, since my site does not have 'enough' content according to the way Google's stuff works. They might be right, but my site is not the 'rich content' type of site. A am currerntly exploring Amazon affilate option, but we will see that their requirements are.

So what will be best option for me?

Do another web, make adsense aprove your account through that web, then put adsense on klingonize.

I don't know what Lycos era exactly means, but I guess it is something ugly and old. Like I said, it is meant to look like that, because of the trekie micro niche it is dedicated to. You must be one to understand the awkward shapes it has. I doubt that there was HTML5 back in the Lycos era.
Thanks for the tips. I will give AdSense another try after it is complete and if not - there must be other ways.
