Time Management
Time management has been an essential tool in marketing business. It shows us how to effectively use our time in getting things done. But still I am not very much aware how can I perform and apply proper time management.
In connection to this, does anyone here have a good source of any written material about time management?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Time Management
Man... the internet killed any sense of time management I ever had. I used to be able to focus, now I just read forums and surf all day instead of being productive.
That may be an exaggeration, but you get the point. It may be old and tired, but I always found Stephen Covey's work to be very informative in this regard.

Re: Time Management
Google the "Pomodoro Technique." It's so simple but works amazingly. By far my highest productivity when I use it.

Re: Time Management
I may just be old school, but I just use my own method lol. I plan out what I need to get done for the day and then prioritize that list. If need be, I block social media and YouTube until I finish that list. Once I finish that list, I can go on to doing things in my own free time. I use sticky notes in W7 or the simple agenda I keep on my desk.
Have a great day!

Re: Time Management
An IM'ers tip I read recently said you should only check your email once (or was that twice?) a day, at the end of the work day specifically. Otherwise it can suck up your time if you start getting into the back and forth correspondence...

The tomato effect.
25 minute work, 5 minute break.
every 4th break take a longer break.

Re: Time Management
Yep - I use a variation of the Pomodoro in which I work 50 minutes with a 10 minute break.
During the break I'll have a glass of water, and typically a physical activity.
After the 10 minute break I then work for another 50 minutes and take a 10 minute break + 20 minute lunch, and rinse and repeat several times a day.
