I read a couple of tutorials here about making a litle cash on the side publishing on triond.com and getting 50% adsense commision and 2$/1000 views. I am writing about 5 articles per day, all unique.

I am only using twitter for drawing traffic to articles -> have one account and trying to get more followers by following people with tweetattacks.

What would you suggest i do else than this to increase traffic and maybe adsense? I'm going for 200$ a month for starters if possible?

what do you think?

- connect to facebook accounts or post on related fanpages
- social bookmark the articles
- use scrapebox to target blog comments related to your article
- submit an RSS feed of your article

so, bookmarking deamon would be a good choice? Also what should my expectations be for this project as of $$$? I am already trying but no luck, 10 views :s.

Personally, I find bookmark demon hard to use. I use social submitter instead but its over $100 to purchase. Scrapebox is $57. You are going to need these tools anyway if you are serious about IM so its an investment.

If you have large twitter accounts and use social bookmarking and scrapebox blog commenting, then you can get your views.

Note that scrapebox has a blackhat mode that can send faked search engine traffic to articles for inflated views.

I took a look at social submitter, and decided to code my own submitter, which will support more social networks. Still not sure if i'm going to sell it or give it to anyone. Thanks for everything

Unfortunately, writing articles and getting traffic are almost completely unrelated and unless you're able to write for a site that is already high ranking and share the profits with them, then you should be putting 90% of your effort into building traffic, ideally 100% and figure a way to get unique content, such as by outsourcing the writing... its not as simple as just submitting to a few social media sites, to get much out of social media / social networking sites you need bots to perform necessary actions to attract attention to your links...

For a long time I would waste a lot of time writing articles and stuff only to make hardly any money off Adsense, now my full focus is on automating things to drive traffic.

And except for social media, facebook, twitter, or PPC, how else would you drive traffic?

News aggregrators like Topix and WN (I honestly do not know how to get into these sites but they are good for page views)

Yahoo answers (I have several yahoo emails so I post questions and answer myself placing a link back to my article...no I do not hear voices in my head....).

Forums (I do not waste my time posting articles on forums but I do appreciate it when my readers do it for me...several of my articles are getting around 100-300 hits from forum posting...I say piss people off, make them think you're stupid, etc. all for a buck and no sweat...I'm loving it!)

RSS feeds from your articles (use it don't abuse it) submit those to some RSS sites such as http://www.feedcat.net/ and other such sites

Well, that is all I am saying. A girl have to keep some mystery about her so she can't give away all her secrets, ya know.

If you're writing 5 articles a day you could sell them for $5 each , that's $750 a month.. Make a website for your service, put it in forum sigs on WF and DP for example.. Then start posting.. You'll get orders pretty easily and can make some part time income..

Only problem is you get burned out fast with writing articles

Didn't know scrapebox could do that? Could you explain?

you can submit the articles on various article directories like ezine and get tons of traffic if the article is of high quality and seo optimized.

I found out that if you become friends with other people on triond a lot of them will come and read your articles. I've been doing this of about 2 months with triond and as of the last two days my views have been over 200.

I'm not using totally unique content however I put everything through TBS and proof read it before posting.

I started out posting 5 - 20 articles a day, but I didn't stick to it. With it being summer and having family visiting and all the other things that get in the way of life, I just couldn't.

However the last week or so I have been making a point to put in at least an hour or so and have submitting 10 - 20 articles and I saw my view jump up to over 100. That really got me motivated so I stuck with it and they have increase to over 200 views.

The money isn't much as a matter of a fact it ain't sh$t. However I'm hoping to put in the work now and hopefully the views will continue to come even when I'm not posting.

I really believe the power is in the numbers, the more articles you have, the more views you will get.

Just as a note: I have done no marketing for this account what so ever. I have not submitted anything to any social bookmarking sites, connected to twitter or facebook or anything. I can imagine what would happen if I did, I think today I will for some of my popular articles.

It was today that I noticed that the people leaving comments on my post also published on triond. That's what made me look at their accounts and I noticed that they got views from other people on triond who they were friends with so I started becoming friends with other people also. I figure if I friend about 10 - 20 people a day ( I don't want to spend forever on this thing) I'll have a good number of people viewing my articles.

I also believe it's the type of articles you publish, when I first started I published all types of articles because I wanted to see which subjects received the most view. To no surprise almost all of my articles on any health related topic got tons of views.

I've also had a few surprises, like one on purchasing the right paint for your home. The views on this article are really good and consistent everyday. Go figure.

That's my experience with this site. I hoped over to BHW to see if anyone was out sourcing their triond posting. If you did that with a few accounts, even though the up front cost would be more than the return, as time goes on it would pay for itself and more.
