AC article payment dropped to $2... how can I get it back up to near $4?
I made a new AC account and submitted some articles. 3 were accepted and I got paid around $3.06 to $3.55 for each of them.
Since I am a n00b to AC and still getting the process worked out with my rewriters and article scraping, I had maybe 10+ articles declined after the first 3 had been accepted.
After that, I learned better what AC wanted and I submitted 15 more articles which were all accepted. The only problem is that these articles are all getting paid $2.00 to $2.50 per article.
Does anyone know anything about this problem? If I keep submitting to this account, will the payouts eventually go back up to $3+ or is it better to just create an entirely new AC account and start from the beginning again to get the $3+ payouts?
Anyone have any tips on how to beat this? Thanks.

Well, I just started on this AC method but I have gone through everything on redtide's AC thread. So I think you should spread those articles out to few accounts and make sure you promote them to get higher views count. When AC see that you are bringing traffic in, they will increase your upfront payment. I might be wrong though.

Also could you share what AC was "looking for" in an article?

@lagrimas: I'm experiencing something similar right now; my older accounts had usually 3+ offers and almost no rejection rate, and now i have a lot more of those 2 dollar offers which sucks. I opened new accounts to see whether it was just those accounts but all of my new accounts get those 2 dollar offers and seldom something above 3 dollars :/ well, i will just stick to it, try to raise pageviews and hope that they raise the offers at some point.

Re: AC article payment dropped to $2... how can I get it back up to near $4?
The reason you started getting lower payments was probably due to the rejection of your previous 15 articles, AC always takes into account the amount of previously rejected articles when reviewing for upfront payment, another factore may have been your published articles may not have been getting enough traffic, so post them to twitter, digg etc, and social bookmarking sites to drive traffic do them.

Submit more articles you know won't be rejected. Get the ratio of non-rejected articles back up and the pvs up. Hope that helps.

Re: AC article payment dropped to $2... how can I get it back up to near $4?
1. Select your niches (use unique ones with less than 5,000 searches a month, or draw from Google hot trends or controversial subjects). Also consider using wordtracker's 'keyword questions' tool to find out what real world questions people are asking using those keywords, so you can write articles based on those questions.
2. Check each niche keyword on your list using AC's search engine. Only write/rewrite articles for KWs that return 3 or less AC results. If it's 4 or more, consider making them more specific (e.g., instead of 'vacation getaways' go for 'vacation getaways in New Jersey'), or write articles for non-AC purposes (site content, PLR packs).
3. Once published, go to related AC articles and forum threads and mention your article. Go to tinyurl, bit.ly, and similar url shortening sites. Get 10-20 shortened urls per each of your articles. Use proxies to create a corresponding 10-20 youtube accounts, and web 2.0 properties. Download new, highly watched related videos, then reupload with your own shortened content links in the description, comments, annotations et al.
4. Send video responses to the (original) highly watched videos directing them to your upload. On the social sites like Twitter tweet about the shortened url to related groups. Mass ping and mass submit the RSS link to your content per each AC account you have. Finally if you dare, buy some cheap manual traffic to the article pages, or properties pointing to the pages. This should certainly bring up your AC traffic, and minimize your rejections.

No offense, but sounds like a lot of work for one article

It is not for one article. If you bring traffic, then your clout level will rise, and you will see benefit on all submitted articles. Clout level is sort of performance level, which is directly tied to sum of all page views.

I have been having the same issues with AC lately as well. My past 3 articles have been for $2.67 instead of $4+. One thing to look at is the calls for content. If you can find ones that pay decent, grab them right away.

Re: AC article payment dropped to $2... how can I get it back up to near $4?
I've been experimenting for the past several months. At first, it's your initial clout level that affects pay. However, they look at your last 30 days the most. You can be clout level 7 and have poor traffic the past 30 days, resulting in lower offers. Whether you're clout 4 or clout 10, if you don't keep the traffic coming on a consistent, regular basis your offers will steadily drop. Usually it's just a tad then more and more. So traffic is very important.

It's for researching your articles (plural) ahead of time to ensure unique value is really there. It's a set of steps designed to minimize a lot of frustration with AC with lower offers, due to a track record of having rejections, submitting content on saturated subjects, and low traffic coming to your articles. If you're the 300th person writing on weight loss, why be surprised if your submissions receive rejections or low offers? If you do the niche/kw check in advance, chances of AC responding with low or no offers goes down.

Re: AC article payment dropped to $2... how can I get it back up to near $4?
Are you looking to generate an income from writing articles or is your involvement with A/C simply part of a grander plan? Freelance writers tend to avoid content mills like the plague. As well as being obscenely paid, they do very little to enhance your reputation or promote your services.
If you want to live off of your writing on a standalone basis, consider sites such as Daily Article or Constant Content as a means of earning a fair price for good quality content, articles or copywriting. More importantly, look to build up a solid database of reputable clients so that you can generate repeat business. It's all about hard graft, putting your name about and marketing your services professionally.
Don't sell off your work cheaply to content mills. It's better to sell one great piece out of ten posted to somewhere like CC for $100 than it is to earn $2 from all ten pieces placed on A/C.
