French articles/Translation?
I was wondering if there are people here interested in French articles packs or the translation of content/website from English to French.
My service would not be cheap since I'm not leaving in India or such. Still, I'm selling quality at a fair price.
French articles writing services are "expensinve" compared to what we can find for english ones, but there are not a lot of people that can provide quality services.
So, do you think that I should create a topic in the "Selling services" part?
Thanks to all those that will answer to this topic

Can you give us an idea of what is "fair price".
For example, a 500 words articles would be?
And I am assuming that the translation is not computer generated, correct?

Re: French articles/Translation?
Hello voxclan,
Thank you for your answer. Of course the translation will not be computer generated. The French grammar is way too complicated to be well translated by a program.
For a 500 word (unique) article I would charge for BHW users 20$ which is really cheap since I usually charge 28,5 euro for that. Even that price is cheap, most qualified French redactors charge 0.12 euro per word. The low cost ones (horrible quality) 0,025 euro per word.
I'm ofc native French speaker and I'm living right now in Japan. I would like to offer quality, not low cost services.
That's why I'm asking first because most people here are used to low cost countries prices.

the going rate is $5 per 500 words on elance.

Re: French articles/Translation?
Maybe in English not in French. If it's in French it would be low quality articles.
You can check here the prices:
Code:
http://leroiducontenu.fr/offres-redaction-contenu-web#offre1
Les tarifs s'échelonnent de 0,08 à 0,17 euros HT par mot, selon le temps de travail que nécessite un article.
Le prix de base est de 0,08 euros HT par mot, et est majoré de 50 % à 100 % pour prendre compte des recherches nécessaires, le cas échéant.
The market price for good french content goes from 0.08 to 0.17 euro. So 5 dollar the article it must be a joke or some crappy redactor that tries to fool you.
Anyway, I think I'll stick to my traditional customers.
Thank you for your answers

You should post this thread on Buy/Sell Services thread, you might get banned if mods caught this thread alive.

You'll get more clients there as well.

Re: French articles/Translation?
Maybe I was not clear. I AM NOT SELLING ANY SERVICES HERE.
I created this thread to see if there is a Market for the service that I would launch here.
From the previous answers I can see that the prices are under the average, so I don't think I will create a service on this board.
Still, if I had to, I would of course respect the rules and post in the appropriate place.

Ok then, I will help you by saying that your price is too high, way too high. On this board and elsewhere.
I am paying much less, and the job is perfect ( I know because I also speak French
)
Yes you could do translation for the Corporate Market and get those prices. But IMO, not for the internet marketing market.

I agree. Maybe this is the market price for the corporate world, but it's pretty expensive for independent marketers. French is my first language, and all I have to do is use Google translator, then review the content myself and make it totally readable with good grammar. I spend about 10-15 minutes per article.

Re: French articles/Translation?
Thank you
But I don't have any translation service for now. My primary work is to write articles not to translate them from english. Translation is just an extra service.
What are the prices here for writing articles in French?
Have a nice day/evening
