constant content...is it for real?
so i 'wrote' an article w/cc....and the article was accepted @ 2 days later...
but really, what are the chances it's going to sell? did i do a bunch of 'work' for nothing? it's a simple 700 word article and i priced it based on cc's recommendations. the article topic was based on a public request....
but seriously, what are the chances pple will pay 100 for an article?

Re: constant content...is it for real?
The site is definitely "for real." I get paid on time every month, as long as my balance is greater than $5.
But yes, you're right. There is a chance that your articles will NEVER sell. I tend to write for public requests and have had so-so luck with selling the articles. Articles DO sell for hundreds of dollars, but typically those articles are highly technical in nature and not about subjects like pet care or dating or crafts.
I only write for public requests if the subject interests me and/or it won't take me long to research it. I don't expect a sale every time, but the public request articles get reviewed faster and help me build my article library faster. The more articles you have up, the more you'll sell. Some people sell stuff every day.
Not to be discouraging but if your article was very simple, (as you said), it probably will not sell for $100. But you never know...
Check out the CC forums...there's a wealth of information there!

Re: constant content...is it for real?
I was wondering the same thing, CC is 'for real' but there is now way I would pay $100 an article, I think its an easy way to test the waters for content creators, and like HappyHolidays said, the more you have up, the better your chance of selling.
I think $25, or even $50 is reasonable (there are some idiots out there that will pay it)
If people really pay that much for articles, then I just got myself a great little business plan... (big grin on face)

Re: constant content...is it for real?
I just reviewed the profile of one CC author who has written over 3500 articles and sold over 2300 as either Usage, Unique or Full Rights! One guy wrote 5 articles and is showing 4 sales. People do pay $20, $30, $50 and more for good quality articles.
We tend to get a little myoptic because we constantly see IM people selling themselves into slavery by writing $3, $5 and $6 articles. Good writing is hard work. Most people hate writting so there is a demand. Like anything else, you generally get what you pay for when purchasing articles.

Re: constant content...is it for real?
So what is causing this site to get any business? Is it...
- Ignorance on the Buyer's part?
- The quality of the content (samples don't seem that special)?
- Buyer Safety?
I guess they could all be good reasons if a buyer has been screwed over somewhere else, but paying like 10x the going rates? Really?
Can't hurt to try posting a few things up there....
EDIT: Nothing guarentees that a seller can't turn around and re-sell the content elsewhere, so it isn't really all that special.
EDIT: But I guess it would be pretty stupid to risk being banned from them.

Re: constant content...is it for real?
CC articles demand more $ because the site has very strict guidelines. I was rejected once because of improper use of a semi colon.

Yeah they don't tell you why they reject your article. Congratulations OP on getting your article approved. I submitted an article and waited for it to get approved, (which took about a week), but it was rejected because one of my sentences didn't follow their guidelines. They don't tell you which sentence they just tell you to follow the guidelines. So i submitted it again only to have them give the same reason. I haven't used them since. If they could give you some more insight into what is wrong with the articles then it would be a good site.
