help with citing sources...
ok,
first of all, i notice that when i post news items on ac, i get more views....don't know why but i do...
in the past, i take 3 news stories on the same topic (say the iraq war) from cnn, msn, and another news org....rewrite the info into an article and viola...a news item.
the problem i face is citing my sources. ac forces you to cite atleast 1 source for news items....and if i cite reuters, associated press, cnn, or whatever as a source, my item gets denied...
so in the past, when a news item gets denied i have to spend hours figuring out where to come up with a source...sometimes i get lucky and find a press release or something like that....so i use that certain press release as a source for my rewritten news item
is there an easier way to fudge a news item source for a news article?

AC is hooking up with google news which = lots of page views. Plus if you write about hot topics such as Tiger Woods car crash, people will be looking for it.

Site other famous sites like TMZ, etc. (I know these aren't news sources but you can try them out...after all, even CNN site TMZ
).

Re: help with citing sources...
I've gotten away with citing one news site source, or a related book I found on Amazon, and a blogger blog I slapped together with similar posts on it.

Re: help with citing sources...
That's weird. How are you citing AC? Can you post an example? Maybe we can help.

Re: help with citing sources...
Actually figgity, AC stopped paying upfront for news pieces since this thread was started, so it's kind of a moot point.

Re: help with citing sources...
Even after the "no upfronts for news pieces" rule went into effect they still got accepted? Holy crap...that's unheard of lol. Did they pay out to you within 24 hrs of submission like they would previously?
WTG!

Re: help with citing sources...
I kind of had the same question, read a post about rewriting plr content and I might give it a whirl and was just wondering where I could cite my sources.
So basically wikis and different types of blogs would work?
