AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
I've been thinking about doing this for a while now. Many times I get questions in PM or email from users with questions about how to work my AC Mass Submitter software.
If you have questions about installation, trouble-shooting, future updates, suggestions, etc...please post here and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
Hopefully by keeping all the information in one spot, it will help everyone out if they run into a problem.
For those of you who know the ins and outs my software already, feel free to also help out! (Thanks will be given, of course.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
Hi Danny, how are you?
I'll post the exact replica of my problem which was mentioned on another thread. Here it is:
"I wonder if ACMS can use my FF + HideMyIP2009 combination like you said. Until now I was using this combo while submitting to AC. If this is is successful, then all your customers will have one of the best solutions at very affordable rate. As ACMS will still not make me feel better by not telling what IP it is using (as of now), I have a suggestion that can help all others... Can you automatically display what 'current' proxy-name (with the port address) is being used somewhere on ACMS? This will help me sleep lot better!
"
Reference:
To your advice on the following link:
"The ACMS internet protocol (how it connects to AC, the license verification, etc) is the same as the one used for Internet Explorer, the web browser. If you go into your Internet Options menu on IE and set it to connect via a proxy, you will also be changing anything else that uses IE's protocol. This means, you'll change how ACMS connects to the internet.
So, put a proxy/port into IE, then leave the proxy/port fields blank in the ACMS. It should then connect via a proxy."
Link:
Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/associated-content-writing-articles/138211-need-advice-proxies-use-dannys-acms.html
Of course, now there is another problem about the new AC regulation, the link is here:
Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/associated-content-writing-articles/142004-ftc-dec-1-ac-writers.html
Redtide, Millygirl, and Shawndellah have some real concerns about it, and ACMS will need some overhauling to enable posting especially the review postings.
Please do the needful ASAP.
Thanks!

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
I was going to mention you, srb888, in the original post.
As far as your proxy recommendation goes, it's highly doable, and I'll try to send out an update in the near future with this feature. I also would love to team up with someone who has private proxies (user/pass) to try and figure out a way to use them inside the ACMS.
The updates to the AC submission process seem intriguing and a little scary, but we'll see what happens Dec. 1st. I can't program the ACMS ahead of time, because I don't know how they plan on sending their POST data for submission. If you are posting reviews, and they put you through this little diversion, I may need to make a change to the Formatter as well. All the article information is stored in the files that the Formatter creates, so cross your fingers that that is all that is required.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
Excellent idea to start up a support thread Danny. If you get a chance to update the ACMS for the new FTC guidelines it would be huge for all of us. I'm sure many buyers are submitting 25-50% review pieces to AC. I know they make up the largest percentage if what I'm submitting.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
I will put out a major update with the new December software, srb888. Thought you'd like a heads up on when that feature you asked for will be in.
Also, I just spent some time troubleshooting with a new user on installation.
If you are using Windows Vista, and you get an error when trying to register the MSINET.OCX file that looks like this:
The module MSINET.OCX may not compatible with the version of Windows that you're running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe.
The reason is because MSINET.OCX is a 32bit file trying to register on a 64bit system.
Here's how to get it to work.
1. Copy and paste the MSINET.OCX file into your C:/Windows/SysWOW64 directory.
2. Open up a command prompt as an administrator.
3. Type "cd .." This will get you out of the System32 folder and into the Windows folder.
4. Type "cd SysWOW64" This will get you into the SysWOW64 folder.
5. Type "regsvr32 MSINET.OCX" This will register the component.
Special thanks to Brocation for his patience on this.

hi,
i think i am going to buy your article submitter. i have one question though. if i give the author the article formatter will the author see that it is for AC, and then stop working for me and work for themselves. i appologize if this answer is somewhere else. i looked for answer but couldn't find it. i also apologize if i put this post in the wrong thread.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
Here's a screenshot of the Article Formatter tool. There is no word of "AssociatedContent" in it:

Hope that answers your question.

You're very welcome.
I'm going to try and finish up my 3rd and final college programming project tonight. That way I can get started on the new December update as soon as AC changes.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
When Ac will change for sure?

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
They said December 1st.
We'll see what happens.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
The new update is only going to pertain to "review" articles Brocation, and like Danny said, is supposed to happen on Dec. 1st.
Here's more info about the changes..

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
No, you'll want to read it a little closer. It means that if you're being paid by a product manufacturer to write a review you'll have to indicate that fact. For the purpose of submitting to AC, we'll just be choosing option #1 which in a nutshell means we aren't being paid by the company whos product we're reviewing.
What Danny's working on is an update to the ACMS that will allow us to select that option when the new submission template takes effect on Dec. 1st.

Danny, I don't know if this has already been mentioned but I think a awesome feature you could add to your software would be a picture field. I don't know if it's helped anyone else but pictures have been really helping my upfronts.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
Hi Danny,
Thanks for starting this thread. I just bought your software yesterday and I've been having some trouble getting it to install properly. Right now I can open the program but when I click start after loading my articles nothing seems to happen.
My guess is because I was never able to use Installation file that something got screwed up. When I try to open the installation file I get this error message "LoadLibrary("MSINET.OCX") failed - The specified module could not be found. Not sure what I'm doing wrong? The MSINET.OCX file is in the main folder along with the rest of the files. Thanks in advance for your help!
I'm using Windows XP Professional SP3 through Parallels Desktop on a Mac.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
@verve22:
I've responded to your email, since BHW wasn't loading for me for some reason.
As a hint to everyone else, it will help speed up the support I can offer you if you download a small tool called TeamViewer. (teamviewer.com)
This is a share your desktop type program that allows us to both access your desktop. I can fix the problems and explain them to you right there on your desktop, and you will retain all overriding power over my actions (it's a safety precaution, of course).
When you have an issue, simply send me a session ID and password that you get from within TeamViewer. Most people's issues take less than 5 minutes to solve. I've helped many, many people already via TeamViewer, and I'm sure they will vouch for it's ease of use and safety.
Thanks,
Danny

Can you please tell me how many categories we should check off in the formatter?
As well, what should I put in the summary? Specifically, how detailed should it be?
Thank you

1-3 categories is sufficient. There isn't a need to check more than that. (Plus, if you check too many you'll run into problems with the submission)
The summary is as easy as copy and pasting the first paragraph of the article in to the summary box. Reason being is that a normal article outline looks like this:
1st paragraph: Tell them what your are going to tell them.
2-4th paragraphs: Tell them.
5th paragraph: Tell them what you told them.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
Attention ACMS Users and Prospective Users:
There will be a new update coming in the near future.
This update will include:
A Better Configuration File
This means it will save all your previously used data, not just the username/pass.
Handle the Successful/Unsuccessful lists better.
Enough said.
Random Article Tip
This just sounded like fun. It'll display a Random Tip at the top each time you launch AC Mass Submitter. Who knows, maybe you'll learn something. I can also use this as a way to communicate with all of you about future updates, or anything really happening.
Total Article Count
Another little fun thing. ACMS will now display the total number of articles you've ever submitted through it. It's nice to see your benchmark, and not the same number climb of 1 to 10. Hey, it might even motivate you to submit more? I mean come on, my score isn't that hard to beat...
(Would that be fun actually? Have a Top 10 Submitter list? Prizes are likely..)
Better Proxy Support
I'm not going to lie, the proxy support is currently next to impossible. I would like to update it to handle private proxies, like from cloakfish. If anyone has a private proxy already, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it if you could show me exactly how to use one (authenticating, etc..) and let me borrow yours to write the program around. You'll be repaid in kind.
***
There's a few more I've got written down in my notebook, but hey I gotta hold onto them for a little while longer....
Let me know what you think.
P.S. I'm working on a rewriter that will absolutely demolish anything currently on the market. You won't be picking up bits of gold with a shovel, you'll be using a bull dozer if I pull this off.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
Can't say anymore on the rewriter, but yes. It won't just be the AC techniques that get a boost, it'll be all of Internet Marketing.
But hey, just for fun...
...it'll be able to rewrite a 400 word article (roughly 35 sentences) in about 2 minutes.
M'kay, no more.

At the moment, it submits every article as a General Article. The update will have the ability to choose what kind of article you are submitting.

Re: AC Mass Submitter Official Q&A Help Thread
I recently purchased the Mass submitter and I have Windows Vista 64bit. I followed the instructions listed above (copying MSINET.OCX into syswow64 etc) but when I want to install the program it tells me that a component is missing. In the original manual there is written that i also need msvbvm60.dll. What should i do with this one? I tried to enter it via cmd into regsvr32.exe filepathto... but this just gives me an error. I also tried to copy and paste it into the syswow64 folder but it tells me that this file is already existing and i checked it and it is already there (so i guess that it already got transferred to the syswow64 folder when i did the first step and transferring the msinet.ocx into the syswow64 folder). Any help would be greatly appreciated (in a n00b-friendly step by step way, as i have no idea about computer processes and stuff) as i really want to use this program. Thanks.

Would you mind sending me the proxy you used in a PM or something? I will look into this extensively.
Furthermore, sorry everyone for the late replies. I've PMed most of you back. My computer's power supply was fried and where I live, in a small town, I can't exactly go to the store and buy a new one.
