Default Squeeze Page & Sales Page Question

Can someone try to convince me that Long Squeeze Pages and long Sales pages actually work for PPC?

Im considering building a few of those long Squeeze pages and Sales Pages for a few of the software affiliate products Im marketing and split testing them with PPC.

Any examples? Any suggestions? Are there any case studies on this that show conversion rates?

Does anyone know someone that is GREAT at writing content for such pages? I dont want to recreate the wheel here so I might just hire someone to write the content.

What is your favorite or best performing sales page youve seen?

Thanks
Webmarketingmaster

Check out the top 10 or 20 product pages at Clickbank. You can learn a lot by looking at the merchant's pages.

I know for me, personally, I lose interest after "the fold". Any information needed is at the top, and then I scroll all the way to the bottom if interested.

The best suggestion though, would be to listen to Wiz, and look at what is working.

I'm the same way. I'll read the first 300-400 words and then scroll down to find the bottom line price. I've read that studies have shown that 70% of people landing on lengthy sales pages do the same also.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found myself what looks to be a good copywriter. His sales page is top notch and the samples he provided are really good as well. The best thing was I found him on odesk and his rate is very reasonable. Not to mention he said he would have 2 new sales pages made for me specific to my affiliate product within 3 days. He is also going to layout the sales page as well.

I'll let you know how it works out.

I recommend putting something into the design, a lot of people here who link to their ebooks and crap don't have a very good design which kind of screams "spam, scam, etc" even if the product isn't, I know you asked about the written content but sometimes the design is more important as its what people see and what gives them their initial impression, anyways you can find low cost designers on the same freelance sites mentioned for finding writers
