Hopefully this will serve to motivate some of you that are trying to find their way and are new in the AC game. First of all, no this isn't any kind of "ego boost" post, but I do want to let you guys know that sticking with it and hunting down niches that are unique can definitely pay off.

I have to be careful what I say because of prying eyes, but I found a niche that gave me my first $7+ upfront payment. I had only heard about upfronts over $7 and never really figured I'd get any, but low and behold AC surprised me.

My plan is to NOT keep blasting them with this niche, but to trickle them in with the rest of my submissions. One thing I've learned is that too much of a good thing is in reality a bad thing when it comes to AC.

So for any of you that are just getting started and dealing with some of the drama/bs that comes along with working AC, think long term and pay your dues.

It can and will pay off

That's excellent motivation! I recently got a $5 upfront, my highest ever. It's good to know people are getting even higher offers.

It actually took me some niche testing to get $7, however the problem is if you keep submitting articles based around that niche, they lower the price drastically. So, what I've been doing as soon as I get $7 or more for an article, I submit 5 random articles, and then write another article based on the niche that paid me $7. Rinse-n-repeat!

Congrats on your first $5 upfront HappyHolidays! That's how I felt about the $7, It was nice to know they do go that high. Some of the content producers talk about $9+ upfronts so it's great to know there's more to shoot for.

Great, Red! Check G Trends for the same and some slight variations of the keywords involved in the $7 article. It's possible they are looking for more such, and when they are paying high, there is surely a demand from their advertisers. Note what those ads are on the page. You may have hit a small jackpot! If at all you need some help in doing the research, you know the number! The person is absolutely dependable and won't steal the pot!

To tchashow - lol thanks man, I appreciate the kind words. it wasn't a confidence thing, it's just that the $7+ upfronts are hard to come by with AC. I had been at the $5.75- $6.75 range for over a month. There's a lot of factors that come into play to reach those numbers.

To srb - That's exactly what I did Then I came up with another other cool method that I'll be adding to the new book. There's some pretty awesome tricks you can do to milk a niche that's bringing in high upfronts. I actually got three offers over $7.50 by adding variances to the inital niche keywords I had been using that brought me the $7 offer I was referring to when I started this thread.

Thanks Shawndellah...I was shocked by an email I got a few hours ago from a customer who started out with a $5+ upfront offer on their first submission!! I didn't ask them the niche, but that's a shockingly good offer for the first one ever submitted.

That is incredible! I have clout 10 and been on AC a little bit and am stuck at $4.01 to $4.19 offers for the past 2 months. LOL I need to re-read the book and try again. I want to so badly have December forward be a minimum of $5.01 to $5.19 articles. You're an inspiration to us all!

I know! I definitely believe them because they did find an excellent rewriter I had conference called with during a coaching session for my customer. Like I said, I didn't want to ask about their niche, but it goes to show how important our topics are.

That is amazing. I know that SEO and taking advantage of a niche can lead to higher upfronts but is it safe to assume that when I get higher in clout levels that I can get better upfronts than I do now? (Clout level 4)

@ viscious - Without a doubt...your page view average and clout are one of the main determining factors in your upfront offers. How long did it take you to get to the clout 4?

thanks for the info. actually, just recently i think i had too many pending articles so my upfronts took a bit of suffering.

i think it depends on how you look at it. i have had my AC account for almost a year. but i wasnt active with it until this month. but in this August i submitted an article that pushed me to clout 4 so i guess you could look at it as taking 8 months

That's right you had mentioned that before about the age of your account, my bad. Also, just to clarify, the pending articles will have no effect on the upfronts. They never see or take note of how many pending articles are in your que. (lol I got that little tidbit from an ex AC employee friend of mine)

Okay, thanks Red. I was worried that my pending articles may have affected the upfronts but I guess it was all in the uniqueness. I just put in a new article that hopefully will pull a better amount.

I submitted my first article and got a $2.50 upfront. I need to find me some more AC ebooks lol, I'm finally starting to get motivated. Just need to get a few more articles going.

@ vicious - It probably was mate. The uniqueness factor is the most important aspect in the eyes of the AC editors. Clout and everything else we've talked about is factored in as well, but ta lack of competition for your article's keywords in AC's library is the number one factor. Are you searching your prospective keywords at AC itself to check competition, or are you using (keywords site: associated content) in Google?

The times that I am checking keywords I usually only do it in AC. But I never put much thought into the whole process.

The competiton levels are going to be a key factor in your rejection ratio and how high your upfront offers are.

okay. thanks for the tip. i have some articles ready to be submitted that i think have a higher quality than the ones i wrote before. I'll see how those ones are because they seem to be pretty unique

Post up with how they do if you would. If they don't do well you'll probably want to concentrate a bit more on confirming the competition levels before writing/rewriting.

Mine, in general have been up a whole $1 recently, same niches. Not sure why.

they were up a bit higher than my standard offers but not by much. i want to make mine jump up at least a $1 higher if not more.

You''ll get there, and be a lot higher than $1 more per article as time goes on I'm sure. Continue confirming that the competition levels aren't too high, try to get your page view average up, and keep tweaking your submissions based on your highest upfront offers.

Thanks for the encouragement. Hopefully soon enough I will make a decent amount. Earlier today I have come up with an article idea to write and I have only found one relevant item that can compete with it. I'll work on promoting the PV and hopefully I will be able to buy that ebook soon. With this new article hopefully it will make more considering my Clout just went up also. The latest article submitted made a bit more than I usually do anyways.

I just joined AC after buying a program that promised $100 a day. In the program the guy says with Dragon Naturally Speaking you can write 20+ articles a day. Then I joined AC and saw the submit guidelines and reality set in.

20+ articles a day is possible to write especially with Dragon but will 20 be accepted? And to get paid an average $5 per, reality?

I can see making $20, $30 maybe even $50 a day with AC but $100 is a marketing ploy imo. But my other roadblock is thinking of what to write. I mean 20 uniques articles taxes the imagination.

how do you come up with that many topics they will accept and pay for? If I can make $4-$5 an article and get all 20 accepted then $100 daily will become a reality. What do you think?

However making $100/day CAN be done, just read redtide's thread - it will show you how.

@ nyrc108 - Using DNS is great if you're looking to do all of the work yourself, but there's a lot more to it than just voice rewriting any old articles. To get high upfronts and reach $100 a day takes many things that we've already covered in the "made $30 on two articles today" thread that Milly referred to.

Yes, you can make $100 per day with AC, in fact you could probably make more if you do it right but there is only one guide that will show you how to do that and it won't cost you an arm and a leg either, even though it should IMHO for the valuable info it contains. It's called "Ultimate Associated Content Insiders Guide to $2k+ a Month" by our very own redtide. Seriously, this book will show you how to get set up and making money in a matter of hours.

Not sure which book you mean, I was speaking of a different video course on another forum. It was pretty good as an introduction but nothing like redtides' outstanding ebook.

In fact, I wanted to say thanks to redtide for the AC guide. i read it as soon as I got it and I found it not only complete in its information on making money with AC but it was also an easy and enjoyable read. Unusual for ebooks of that kind.

With your guide I know I can make money with AC with some effort and practice. It really made me feel that I can realistically achieve my income goals. It is a true business plan that anyone, even I, can follow.

Well then you most likely bought the same one I did. I call it a book but that author makes all his products in video format because he's lazy.

That product led me to redtide's too. I did, however, get a refund. Guy's a scammer who's banned now on that forum.

Maybe post up his username in case he's also a member here? How much was this "course" going for?
