I submitted a fake w-9 form to AC & after a week i got verified.

MY ACCOUNT GOT VERIFIED BY SUBMITTING A FAKE W-9 FORM

I'm from an asian country.

Is it safe to use that account?

Since when anything illegal is safe.

W-9 forms are submitted to the IRS in the US. Not people you want to play with at all.

Good thing you're not in the US. Submitting a fake W9 form would = jail time.

And to answer your question, no AC will not verify your account with a fake W9 form.

You've been a member here since July and have to ask whether it's safe to submit fake W9 forms to AC, then whether it's a good idea to use the account afterwards? Holy crap, what's happening to this subforum!

Dear OP, you've played fireball with IR*S. Committing a fraud on the most feared IR*S is something that even major US company owners stay away from... I have seen one such owner sweating when the mere name of IR*S was mentioned when he was swindling with his employees' salaries. He was so shaken that time... WOW! You've got some nerves!

If you consider the account being banned and any payout accounts (paypal, etc) associated with it being banned safe...then yes.

People need to keep thinking. Don't just try to bypass any obstacle with a little trick without thinking about what you're doing.

I really hope you used a dead person's SSN. Seriously, you can f!ck up someone's life by playing around with their SSN.


Also, I guess you have proven me wrong. I didn't think AC would accept a fake W9 forms. Now that the cats out of the bag, I'm sure they will be receiving more fake W9 forms soon (not by me though). They will deal with that when tax season arrives.

Hmmm, this makes me think--- I still have my SSN (from working in mid 90s in US and left many years ago. It's clean, I swear! ). So can I still use it? I haven't found an answer to this anywhere and can't go ask the US Govt.

The problem will still arise when it comes tax time. It may work for now, but once they can't get money from you at tax time you will be screwed for sure. I don't think it's really worth doing, but I guess that is your call.

No, no! I don't want to use it for the AC shi*t, it's just a general question... for example, I may be returning to US in a few months, so will I still be able to use my old SSN -- WH purpose only! Or does the SSN lasts only a few years, and then you need to renew it? ... Something like that.


P.S.: Seriously, I cherish it! The small card is always there where I keep my best belongings! I could've easily gone on to stay further in US as I was getting a lot of great job offers then, but that would've meant that I jump my contract with the company that gave me a break in US. I left then and honored my contract and the 'value' of this little card! So why would I lose this over something very silly?

I am unsure about this honestly. I am sure you can do some research on this though and find an answer. You may very well be able to continue to use it, but again I am unsure. Glad to know you only want to use it for legit purposes though
