Great Edge To Get Accepted by Afflilate Networks
I am going through the process of getting approved with as many Affiliate Networks as I can and I found the following edge which I think will be helpful to others. It is not a huge contribution, but it is a money saver and it is original.
On this and other forums there are a wide variety of approaches to get accepted with Affiliate Networks ranging from something as simple as submitting an application and a follow up phone call, all the way to creating an LLC, hosting a website, setting up a virtual office, 1-800 number, Voice mail...etc.
(BTW since there is so much information on this process already posted on this forum, I will only share the original resource that I came up with.)
Next I should explain that the route I took was to host a cheap "corporate looking" site for my LLC prior to contacting any affiliate networks. I don't mind doing the work to create a presence to make acceptance with the Aff Networks that much easier.
I read a post that recommended getting a business line which was registered with your Marketing company LLC name so that it shows up in the caller ID when you call you affiliate company immediately after the online submission of your application.
I knew that would be a great detail to the process. But, since I didn't want to go the "virtual office" route, to get an additional line was more money than I wanted to spend if I didn't have to. Besides it would be for temporary use anyway.
So I did a little searching and I found a very inexpensive way to have it appear (on the affiliate networks caller ID) that you are calling from your "Corporation, business office, or whatever place you desire".
Instead of setting up and listing a new business telephone number there is a site, spooftel dot com which allows you to make call through their site and display any number and name on the receivers caller ID.
They also offer a voice disguise option (which I haven't used yet) that might be advantageous for some e-whoring situations where a guy wants to hear a voice (female of course).
This saved me time and a little money. Hope it is useful.
