Guys,

Just getting started with PPV and Media Traffic allows you to place an image pixel on the successful page of the offer. The potential problem here is, and I am suggesting MT will do this, Media Traffic can see what keywords/URLs are converting and steal my terms. What's safe and robust alternative to tracking my targeted terms?

Thanks,
M

Prosper202 seems to be very robust and should have all of the features you are looking for.

Just add this to the end of your affiliate urls "{{v-u-r-l}}&{{keyword}}&{{sid}}" without the quotes. Remove the "-" from the first one. You can check your tracking when you login to the affiliate network.

Cosign on tracking202/prosper as the best way to go. Using your cpa network subid tracking is better than the traffic platform but they could still tap into your traffic source by the formatting of subid reports, and you might as well just shoot in the dark and not track instead of using Mediatraffic's pixel.

I recently got into Travel Vance and their tracking is triggered with %%keyword%% ...does that go at the end of the affiliate link ( &kw=)...thanks.

I also have access to Xtreme Conversions which may be similar to Prosper.

what's this "tracking pixel" thing you guys are talking about? Sorry I'm a n00b in the PPV area.

Is that just on any network, or is that in conjunction with a tracking software?

The only other way I was thinking of tracking PPV with MT, would be to create a new campaign for each aff url and target combo.

Too bad you cant ammend each keyword with its own target URL like in Adwords.

Are MT known for doing this? I heard that Zango did this but I assumed that MT is a reputable company.

Please tell us more.

Let's be realistic here.

Any smart traffic provider will steal from the affiliates if the affiliates don't properly cover their tracks.

It sucks, but this is business.

Its a dodgy business indeed my friend.

How would you go about covering your tracks if they can see which of your keywords you chose to stick with after running the campaign for a while?

So how do you cover your tracks? MT can see the URL targets you enter, so there's no way around it.
