tracking which affliate 'partner' sent me a lead?

Hi Guys,

I just set up a site promoting a cpa offer. I was planning on working with some affiliate partners to help drive traffic to my site, on a commission per sale basis. How do I keep track of which partner was responsible for which sale? is there a way to do this? would love to hear thoughts from people who have tried this before.
