Default Ebay Affiliate questions

Hi all,

I read the FAQ on eBay affiliates page. It says that you get $25 for each user you refer that buys something.

On the surface it looks like an easy way to make some cash.

I'm sure many of you have an opinion on this program already. Anyone care to share their experiences?

To be clear, if someone clicks on a link, creates a new ebay account, then within 30 days wins an item or does a buy-it-now, then ebay will pays a minimum of $25 commission.

If an existing ebay user clicks a link and enters a winning bid or buy-it-now ebay pays a minimum of 50% OF THEIR FEES as commission.

There are thousands of ebay affiliates making good money at this.

I doubt you will ever get to see this post as mine all disappear right after posting and my post count appears to be frozen at magic number "3". What I wish I could tell you is that I have been an eBay affiliate for over a year and still working to reach a $25 payout level at CJ. What most might not know is you can make all your own purchases through your own affiliate link. Ebay allows it now and you can thus give yourself a tiny discount on your personal business.
Just keep a page with any banner or text link leading to eBay with your own PID in it and always use that to get there, when you buy anything on eBay. In all this time of promoting my affiliate link, I've yet to have anyone open an account. IMO, that $25 is a pipe dream. Hope someone gets to read my post. I've about given up on using this forum now. It's no fun being unable to post.

iv had a 25$ signup while i was with auctionads (who are now so screwed that i refuse to use them anymore), it does happen, its just not often, ebay stuff seems to work ok in a real niche and not so generic of an area, things that are bound to be random and hard to find...

That's all good advice. good to know that I have little chance of raking in big bucks witht he signups. I kind of figured that anyway. However should you happen to get a chance to cookie stuff this thing on a high traffic page it might pay off a few bucks.

Anyone successful with invisible popups for CJ?
