Hello everyone, I have just registered to this forum to help me begin my venture in the world of CPA marketing and money making.

I have an idea and a plan of what I am proposing, I would appreciate anyones opinion and advice. I have no experience what so ever and I am learning as I go along so please note my level of CPA knowledge. So the following is my 'idea' of a niche site/opportunity:

-It is a basic website (no more than 2/3 pages) aimed at students and what can help them study/revise EFFECTIVELY during their university/college, i cannot disclose what this exactly is, due to the niche of my idea.
-On this site I will have info about me and a testomonial of how it works on the landing page, having done the same thing I am marketing myself (no bull****) to reach out and gain a personal connection. Besides I am also a student right now.
Also other things such as youtube videos, research information etc. would be on the other pages.

-The main income would be an affiliate programme, to convince my targets into purchasing, and I will recieve a % of the amount .

-Another secendary source of income would be from such CPA companies like Max Bounty etc I could have banners and small adverts relating to what students are into and what relates to them.

-I will be purchasing a basic hosting plan i.e hostgator, aswell as a domain for my site which will be named accordingly to my niche. hosting is around $4/month and domain would cost me around $10/year.

-Also some SEO to get my ranking up on search engines, however I have no knowledge on how to effectively and cheaply do this...tips??

-I will also do alot of offline promoting, making business cards/flyers and distributing them at my university and bars/clubs, and other places where students are in abundence.
This will be a bit part of my marketing campaign...

So what I am asking is,

is this idea realistic?
what else can be improved on?
Any other sources of income I can add that relate to my primary idea?

Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated! Thankyou

Good luck! Yeah its possible, just keep working at it.

One problem you're going to hit though is that your audience doesn't like opening their wallet. College students don't have a lot of money, and when they do spend, they are buying Pizza, Beer, something for girls, etc.

Convincing them to buy something that will help them study better might be difficult. They are already sick of spending money on education.

You got the idea now take action, you won't know if it will work until you have tried it.

Look at Fiverr for cheap SEO services to get your rankings going.

GOOD LUCK!

Thankyou for the quick replies!

Can you please tell me more about Fiverr? for example if I find a few keyworkds related to my niche which have low competition and fairly high hits, how effective would SEO be to my website?

What exactly do fiverr do to promote my site?

Thanks guys

I actually have found quite the opposite to be true. Students coming from middle class families, attending 4 year universities are a great target market. You suddenly have thousands in your bank account from grants and loans so you think you are rich. Trust me college kids make mistakes about money daily. I did, my friends did and now I advertise to the same types of students.

They are also always looking for the easiest way to do work. That's why I'm curious as to what your site has to offer over other similar sites.

Op I actually do have an idea that would work at your level. Depending on how big your campus is and if you have a lot of contacts, you could make some good money easily. Especially if you the large lecture halls and libraries. Let me know.

I am a newbie myself so these thoughts might not be worth anything but:

Seeing they are students that want to spend their money getting high, would it be an option to put a content locker on it? (email submit or postal code for instance?)

Also, I read a tip on SEO by Meathead1234: If you have happy customers they normally refer new ones. ( He worded it differently though.)
To achieve this, you use Google Alerts to find links where your keyword is mentioned, then sign up to that forum and leave a comment including url shortening link.
This way, you have views in a targeted area and also get backlinks if I'm correct.
You would want this sort of posts to look legit though so they don't get deleted or seen as spam by customers...

Edit: Fiverr is a website where people sell services. You would be looking for scrapebox blasts, amongst other things. :) Scrapebox can also be bought at a discount right here on BHW btw.
I must say I like this idea, especially with the offline marketing. :)

My university is fairly large, as are my lecture rooms etc. Infact my library is one of the biggest in Europe. What were you thinking?

My suggestion is not to invest to much money at first.
try to do this yourself with basic SEO moves you can find on any webmaster forum.

also, for your kind of audience social marketing like sharing on facebook and stuff will be perfect
