I have 3 basic questions about Amazon Affiliate - I did not find any answers for them yet - hope someone will answer them.

I have a astore - The keyword has 2000 US LMS - got it done from the BHW Services for Sale section. I have a UK account - now I have some questions:

1) Does astore automatically selects and displays products according to the country for the viewers browsing from that country? like for US visitors: products from US and for German visitors: products from Germany and so on.

2) Do I also get paid when a product from astore is sold in any country other than UK?

3) If not, then do I need to have Amazon account and astore for each country separately? is it possible? or is there any international account??

Amazon has several sites. Different site for different country.
you need different affiliate account for each country.. or set of countries.

UK people go to US amazon.com... they get displayed US amazon products and prices.
When Germans go to UK amazon... they get displayed UK amazon products and prices.

Where the person is from does not matter... what matters is that what site they go to...amazon.co.uk or amazon.com or whatever...

"astore" with UK Amazon account will be useful only to UK visitors

OR

will it automatically display products according to the visitors country so that people in that country can buy the products there and don't run away due to the International Delivery Charges ???

I'm not sure if ti works the same way, but I use the product advertising API.


But when we create links from the API it requires different associate id tags - for different country's amazons.

Well my story goes like this:

I got my astore (with 1000 LMS - US) done from one of the services on BHW. With my amazon UK account he configured my store that uses some script to point astore to a domain of my choice unlike normal astore which uses a amazon URL base.

I was under the impression that like adsense, astore will automatically display the products to the viewers from the country he is viewing from. I bought 3 astores, all based upon US serches, configured with UK account then also invested good amount on SEO. Report showing lots of click but no sale (less than 1% conversion).

It took me good 9 months to realise the mistake. Today I setup US amazon account and going to configure all the stores to it. Hope I see some sale.

btw, can anyone tell me the conversion rate for electronics ??
