New Newbee... blogging
Hi all,
I've been here for a little bit, and decided to jump in and try some things out. What I have decided to do to see how things work is start 2 blogs - 1 on word press, and 1 on blogger. I did the key word search with google and found 2million hits on the main key term, others were much lower - I'll probally be back for help on seo for all the key terms. Although seo is a be part of why I'm jumping in.
I'm would like to start a twitter and facebook fan page for my own understanding of these.
the idea is write about things found on the i-net that match the keyword(s), post some copy right free pictures, and make some videos, and post them on youtube (re-directing people to the blogs).
I would like to generate $ from click-bank and other affilate programs listed with reviews. (I also need to read more on adwords...)
I would like to see $200 to $500 a month off this in the next 3-4 months.
This is all to fund other larger projects that I have in mind.
For those of you that have made some cash from blogging / cb, or affilate programs - is there any recommendations that I (a real new newbee) should be aware of / implement so that I'm not way way off course to begin with?
I don't know if I should share the keywords and stuff here, but you can email me or skype me, and I'll explain more there.
thanks for your time.

Re: New Newbee... blogging
Start with ONE blog. FOCUS all your attention and activity there. Think long term.
Try ONE marketing approach at a time. Test it, evaluate the results and tweak. Make small, slow mistakes.
Too many people begin I.M. and try to do 30 different things at once and 30 days later cant figure out what happened and why nothing worked and quit. Good Luck!

Re: New Newbee... blogging
I use autoblogs that i "set up and forget" The software i use works really great. I started this 2 months ago, and i can se an increase of my earnings from adsense.
The software supports Infinityads, CB and amazon. And it ranks well in the search engine.
I sometimes do a SB blast on the sites. And have two tools i use from the same provider that works perfect.
If you have any questions, donīt hesitate to PM me or something. I might give you some noob to noob tips.

Re: New Newbee... blogging
set realistic goals...
instead of setting a monetary goal for your site, set a traffic goal instead. the more traffic you get into your site, the more money you make....

Re: New Newbee... blogging
Hi all, sorry I haven't written sooner.
I thought about it and decided just to try some of the simple things others have posted. I have 2 facebook "businesses" 1 started yesterday - 4 fans today (2 of them are me) 1 started today - 11 fans (1 of them is me)
I'm still looking at the blog's. I'm acually working on some vid tutorials for something I'm interested in. Only thing slowling me down is that I'm a perfectionist, exspecially when it comes to something that I will be (hopefully) showing to tons of people. I figure Quality will pay off bigger in the long run.
Btw. for the 2 facebook B's, no clicks, no money as of yet. I'll be back here soon.
p.s. xcpks - I don't have enough post yet to PM, but I'm interested in autoblogging...

I absolutely agree with this. I too started too many projects when I first started and never completed any of them. Eventually I learned it's better to start with 1 site and learn from trial and error before starting up more projects.

Re: New Newbee... blogging
yeah best thing to do right now is to do 1 sites and focus all of your time on it. I've made the mistake of doing more than 1 site at first and I had trouble working it all out.
Good luck!
