Commission Junction Question

I have my page up and running, with a direct link to a yahoo toolbar.
Now my question is, how does Commission Junction know that an install is mine? I think I missed a step somewhere, because my friend installed the toolbar, and nothing on my dashboard has changed.

It sometimes takes a while for the stats to show.

But I'm pretty sure I messed up...
How does CJ know to pay me for the install? All I did was link to the yahoo download from my page.

Anyone? I know someone here uses CJ.. just tell me how they know to pay YOU.
Was I supposed to put a script somewhere or something?

You have to use your affiliate link from CJ to link to the toolbar install.

I think the affilliate link is html or javascript. Where do I insert that?
