So I am having a bit of trouble converting adware traffic into $$$. I have had a few successes, but nothing substantial. If anyone can point me in the direction of an affiliate network or an inhouse program (besides ebay) that work well with adware traffic, Id be very thankful.

that seems to be more about getting the user to install the adware and not so much how to convert users that have the software into leads on the affiliate networks...

Seems like Harro's Pay-per-install.org site is only about getting paid for getting adware
installed on others computers. But I think that the question was about using traffic from the ads that the adware shows for affiliate programs. I am interested in the answer myself
because I was thinking of using the form of traffic as an alternative to adwords but I doubt
very much that anyone will tell that kind of info. It's like saying " What makes you money
so I can do it and lower your profits?" The answer is always test for yourself and of course
having your own product is better.

Are you trying to make money with CPA or product sales? I have a report on Adware traffic and it says to stick with CPA offers like zip submits and stuff like that. You also have to target the right keywords and also url's of competitors. You should try networks like Copeac and CJ to find good CPA offers for Adware traffic.

Well the thing with adware traffic is that you need a load of it to make a lot of money each day and it has to target correctly.

For example, if you get a lot of teenage girls to either intentionally or unintentionally install your adware, you'll find a lot of success popping a free maybeline lipstick offer email submit when they search for cosmetics keywords or relevant sites like Sephora.com or VictoriasSecret.com.

The people I know personally that do thousands of dollars a day all have the same thing in common. They get thousands of installs a week, some even a day, and they target the right offers.
