Default Can AMs see your MAC address and even your NIC?

I have heard AM can see your "prospects" MAC address.
But can they also see your Network Card?

To make each lead appear unique, one would need to change
*IP address
*MAC address
*User Agents (browser types, Firefox, IE...ect)

I am new to this stuff and have read that if I get $3K in commissions and get banned I will not see a dime.

But I do not think my NIC will be determined, right?

I guess my user agent Headers will also change OS and stuff.

Errr, your NIC? NIC is the hardware, as in, physical Network Interface Card. What do you mean can they see that?

I find it incredibly unlikely that they can see your MAC address. The amount of network gear the tunnels of the interwebz has. How would they be able to see your mac address? They would only be able to see the last hop, if at all it was possible anyway.

The MAC address does not get transmitted beyond your local area network. It falls under layer 2 of the OSI 7 layer model. It is not even necessary to have a MAC address in layer 2 (e.g. dial up networking). Therefore nobody can see your MAC out in the internet.

Note: There are conspiracy theories stating the possibility that Google can see your MAC address if you run their software locally such as Google toolbar. This is certainly possible, i.e. Google Toolbar can query your MAC from the OS, but I doubt Google is doing this type of thing.
