Simple method to make more $$$ WITHOUT more traffic
Most people I have talked to either do not know, or under-use their ability to get pay bumps from their CPA networks. When I first started, I didn't either. Proactively seeking pay increases on your offers WILL bring in more money for you every month, bottom line.
Here's how I get my pay increases:
1) Find out what several networks pay. If you only are approved with a couple networks, look at offer vault dot com. Find your offer, and note which networks are running it, and what the payout is. If you are trying to get a pay increase on an offer that nobody else has, you need to find similar offers with higher payouts.
2) Ask your AM. I have got pay increases via email, AIM, skype, phone, you name it.
3) Be nonchalant and confident. You don't want to come off sounding needy, desperate, or nervous. Just be confident, and tell your AM that you would love to send more traffic their way, but ABC network has a higher payout. Simply tell them to match or beat that payout, and you will send them some more traffic. Remember, if you STOP sending your traffic to a network, that hurts them. Just letting them know that you have something better elsewhere is usually enough for them to work with you on the payout.
4) Be consistent. When I first started in IM, the phone calls and emails used to intimidate me. I didn't know exactly what to say, and I was always in fear of getting 'caught' doing something I wasn't supposed to. After I got over that silly fear, I realized that all these phone calls and emails are simply opportunities for me to increase my revenues. I made it a point, that on every live conversation I had with an AM, I would ask for a pay increase. Applying this practice made me look forward to the phone calls! I'd answer their questions...and hey...by the way...I wanted to talk to you about ABC offer I've run with you...
5) Make a splash. With new networks, I would send a bunch of traffic in one day. Nothing ridiculous, but enough to get thier attention. Then I'd not send more traffic until I obtained the pay bump. If you send enough traffic all at once, and then STOP, most AM's will call/email you, wanting to get that big volume back.
6) Better terms. Don't limit your conversations to just more $$$. Go for faster and more frequent payouts. Usually the faster payout conversation comes with a little give/take...they will want you to send X amount of traffic for 30 days, then they will pay you faster, etc. Getting better pay terms usually isn't as easy as getting a higher payout...but as long as you're having the talk with them, you might as well bring it up.
7) Don't be ridiculous. Ask for something within reason. I have found pay increases between 10 - 40% of what the original payout was to be pretty easy to get. Even if you are talking to the network that is currently your highest payout, explain that the same offer is converting better for you at XYZ network. This will validate the reason for the pay increase. Just stay within reason. You don't want to ask for $50 on an offer that is currently paying you $20. Getting pay bumps should never be a haggle where you go 'high', the AM goes 'low', etc etc. Just tell them what payout you need to send more traffic, and you should be fine.
