Default Getting off the ground. --- New Entreprenuer

Hi!
And thank you for taking the time to read my post. Getting to the point, I am a full time college student, full time employee, and full time technology junkie :P
My heart is with computers and have passion like no other. That passion is to make some of this money floating around on the internet. I know it will not be easy. I know it will take time and consistency, but what I also know is that it can be done, it has been done, and that I myself WILL do it.
A little bit of background on me... I once had a website that would sell niche items for ebay. I was using ebays affiliate program. I was selling baby clothes and baby items. A real good niche if you ask me, but it took time and hard work to barely make 50 cents! 50 cents was it. But that 50 cents was the best 50 cents I have every made. It made me want more. Unfortunately a few things happened in my life that I had to abandon that site and affiliate marketing. I am now ready more then ever to jump in a get something going at full speed.
BUT I know things change and am in need of some advice. I have a few questions for those who have been around for a while and would like to give me some input.

#1. Best place to start out? I don't want to make money right away, I want to create a strong foundation for myself that I can lean on in case of other ventures that don't turn out so well.

#2. Is clickbank all that it is glorified to be? I already have an account with them, but not sure exactly how it works. I know you drop your links on posts or articles and such but I have also read you get your own domain for the product you are trying to sell.

#3. What is the best affiliate program out right now? I have tried ebays, but it seems fishy to me to make a nice looking website and fool the customer to being directed to ebays site. Never liked that.

Anyway, hopefully I haven't scared you away with my long thread but trust me, I am hear for the long run, you WILL all know me in all due time, and I WILL remember those who have helped me get off the ground. If you any any other advice please please please shoot it my way. Thanks!

First of all....really really look at the forum because a lot of your answers can be found here.

1. You might want to look into SEO if you're not looking to start right away....just start a bunch of sites and keep them updated and promote them.

2. IMO, clickbank sucks.

3. Try getting into an affiliate network....neverblue, cxdigitalmedia, hydra, maxbounty...just to name a few.

Good luck.

Thanks for your input. It seems I do have a lot of reading on the forum to do. I am not sure about clickbank though, it seems to be successful for some people while others it is not. Not sure what I am going to do yet. Basically looking for something to bring in small cash fast to help build my longer lasting programs.
