Tool for making lots of Adwords ads at once

It's been a few years since I worked with Adwords the last time, so I've forgot most of it. But I do remember that there were these awesome tools one could use to make the ad creation a lot faster - but I've forgotten what they were called..

I guess there have been made a few programs since then, so can you recommend one? A free one, preferably.
