I was wondering is it safe to use adwords for a site whose primary monetization method is adsense?? The content is genuine and unique, the site is genuine and the content is updated regularly, its a PR 4 domain, it's just that Adsense is placed on that site.

Yeah you can use adwords on adsense sites,

But some time back there was a big hue and cry about adsense arbitrage and accounts getting banned... never really understood the logic behind it, I mean, If I wanna spend money with Google, whats the harm. Are you sure it's fine to run them together?

If your site is white hat and unique content i dont see any problem with that

yes you can use site with adsense for adwords , like you mention you have unique content on site , this ll run , careful about placing the ad ,site dont look like only for ads and focus on clicking ,

But if the only way my site makes money is through Adsense, wouldnt this make it a MFA? although it has over 900 posts and new content is added regularly

I wouldn't, just in case.

This is called as Adwords arbitrage. If your adwords add's landing site has only adsense motorization they will ban you for sure. They can easily see where the visitors coming from (adsense clickers) if they found most of they are from adwords. You are gone.

A MFA is a site where there's almost nothing but ads. If you have only a few ads among your content, you should be OK. Just don't overwhelm your visitors with ads. Google surely has a percentage of ad to content ratio or page real estate to content. Don't know what it is but I'd keep it at 10% or less.

I just have 2 ad units, one Link Unit and one 336xsomething Square box.. that is it and rest all is content. SInce its wordpress, the homepage has loads of content as 10 posts are displayed on the homepage.

i think you are safe in there but you can never say something for sure with ad sense.that's why i stopped using adsense for my sites a long time ago.

adwords dont like arbitrage guys
they wont appreciate

Adwords with Adsense is okay, Google says, but it's not so simple.

I believe the space occupied by content should be more than that occupied by Ads to avoid the arbitrage condition.

Would like to know this also. Just "founded" the idea to use adwords for MFA/affliliate sites and already made 1st campaign which I am now pausing. I would not mind that much if my adwords gets banned, but adsense account I would like to keep...

Also, hopefully neo doesn't mind me asking in this thread, if someone has tips/tricks or links to good articles how to use adwords campaign to drive traffic to mfa sites, sharing would be appriciated.

Adwords will send you and email before approving your ad if there is something they do not like about your site. At least they did twice for me on two different sites.

I run both adsense and adwords and dont have any issue, have been doing it for over a year.

As long as you have a useful site with good content, thats all that matters, dont make it look like all you want people to do is click your ads and you will be fine.
