It's cool that the google keyword external tool already has a number instead of a graph for their site.. does anyone know how accurate these numbers are?

I think you need to be careful. There is a drop down to choose broad, exact, etc

So use the drop down for what you want to accomplish. As with any keyword tool,
I don't believe any are exact.

I also want to know the answer, but I think only google can answer the question.

Anyway, it is better than the "bar"!! I appreciate it

Yeah, I'm around 80% sure that it is accurate enough to notice the number of estimated searches. and yes, it beats the hell out of the bar.
