Thanks for the good tips DD.... btw can i have a look at any site that you have for a clearer picture?

There is a code you can use now i can not remember the come but you wrap that code around the words you really want Adsense to see and the ads will give much better results.
Link Ads actually pays and and are pretty easy to fit in any site.
nice tips dude.. thanks for them..
Thanks admin.. Because try best my luck.. Right now just $6.. Heheh.. From 0.60 For 1 Years.. Hope with this tips i can improve my Ads
thats some great pointers by dave
i also use the competitive ad filter too to get rid of all the crappy low paying advertisers - think there is a list floating around, this is who i use but do so at your own risk...
to setup simply goto adsense setup -> Competitive Ad Filter (i would probably try it for a week and see if it makes a difference)Code:amazon.com away.com business.com couponalbum.com ebay.com expedia.com kijiji.com local.com mysimon.com nextag.com pronto.com shopping.com shopzilla.com target.com walmart.com webcrawler.com yahoo.com yellowpages.com
i dont normally get clicks less than $0.25 - however i dont really push adsense anyway, nor do i do MFA sites either, but hope that helps
for consistancy dating ads appears to pay relatively well usually for me with this setup upwards of $0.50
oh and teeth whitening usually $0.70 and up! lol

These are some great tips for improving Adsense revenue. I do find that the 336 x 280 ads convert better than any other format. I find that they do well positioned on the left hand side above the fold.

Tip 1 did increase my earnings by 100% on my test blog. I'm getting over 100 bucks a month on that blog.

sspweb01200 (09-25-2009)
I've also tried sticking two 336x280 ads side by side above the fold. That also works pretty well.
Thanks that was very helpful

thanks for share.. i'll try to implement it.

I'm newbie and starting up to find other source of income, and I found this post very useful and helps me a lot. I planning now to use adsense as my first campaign.
question: I heard autoblogging/autocontent site, anybody here could help me or give me idea how to set it up? is this techniques still effective?
thanks to all.
Good Post, ill try this on my site see if i see any results!
These are great tips.. Thanks..
yes you are right. the big is big

I have long experience in this. Maybe I should add stuff.
Here are some 5 proven ways on how best to improve your Adsense earnings.
1. Concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.
To hell with all other format. ALWAYS use 336x280 format. Forget others.
2. Create a custom palette for your ads. Choose a color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, try to use white as the color of your ad border and background. The idea to patterning the colors is to make the Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. Again, This will result to more clicks from people visiting your site.
Background always have to be white. No border. (With the new code I can't get rid borders though). The color of your link MUST be blue. I am undecided about the color of domain name under those adsense links.
If your website's background is not white, pick a different theme.
I did a few test on this. The top most adsense get all the clicks.
3. Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.
What do you mean by putting relevant websites? What do you mean by putting our ads there? I mean putting our adsense ads on others' site
4. Maintain links to relevant websites. If you think some sites are better off than the others, put your ads there and try to maintaining and managing them. If there is already lots of Adsense put into that certain site, put yours on top of all of them. That way visitor will see your ads first upon browsing into that site.
One particular easy way to insert adsense ads is to put them on top of another using table with 2 rows. I used frontpage to do this.
5. Try to automate the insertion of your Adsense code into the webpages using SSI (or server side included). Ask your web administrator if your server supports SSI or not. How do you do it? Just save your Adsense code in a text file, save it as “adsense text”, and upload it to the root directory of the web server. Then using SSI, call the code on other pages. This tip is a time saver especially for those who are using automatic page generators to generate pages on their website.
Anyone can recommend good plugin for wordpress to put adsense there?
These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.
Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on.
Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.
If others have done it, there is nothing wrong trying it out for yourself.

Good tips. Having your ads on your navbar (where your site's internal links are) also works well, you can make it look exactly like your site's own links. (works especially well when you have a highly targeted keyphrase, as the ads titles would look like pages (ie. tattoo gallery, tattoo photos etc)
Another tip is to use the 728 x 90 ad unit, and add 4 images above the ads. the images should be generic, targeted at your keywords. people are drawn to images, so you now have 4 images with a link below each one (adsense) and people will click the adsense thinking its a link to the image, or somehow related to the image.
The 728 x 90 ad unit does sometimes show 3 ads instead of 4, but its mostly 4 ads.
Try these methods and give some feedback.
Great post...
I will monetise it right now.. Thanks.
thanks for gr8 tip
Some great tips. I'll try to implement these tips and hope to improve some conversion rate. Thanks for sharing.
Gr8 share , thanks![]()
LOL this thread is 3 years old...it's historical![]()
nice tip, thanks
for my blog i use simple css trick, you must enclosed your google ads code with the <div> tag and add some css attribute to it. like this one
<div style="float:left;">
<!-- your adsense code here -->
</div>
<div style="clear:both;"></div>
The 1st line there is to float your adsense to left, you can replace it to right position if you like. Only left and right value can be allowed.
The 2nd line is where you put your adsense code.
The 3rd line is the closing </div> tag.
The 4rt line, since we float it, you must clear the floating in-order to not overlapped the other code of you blog template.
Note: you must parsed your google adsense if necessary.
for the result try to visit my blog Mixmo Anime
main thing you can do by promoting your website and be remember more contacts more contracts
Great advise, thanks allot
very nice tips thanks for sharing
great tips
I made a recent change to some of my autoblogs. Instead of using 3 adsense blocks on a page, I cut back to one single adsense block, large rectangle per page. It is located at the top of the very first post.
My results; my clicks are worth way more than what they used to be and my ctr hasn't really changed.
On one pr3 blog I was averaging .25 a click, now I am averaging 1.15.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents. If you get decent traffic but no clicks, ALWAYS TWEAK.
Prankster (01-29-2010)
Great info!
Similar to the post two above this one - I have also cut down on number of adblocks to just one. I figure the higher bidders will be in this block and thus get more $ per click.
I always but the block above content and not in sidebar.

Thanks for the tips!
This is really great treasure, for all adsense users. As we see this is almost 3 years old thread, with people posting their take on what is best configuration for advertisement placements.
I think it is more related to what type of site you have and how it is organized. The theme used in site also matters. Combining all these, the web masters should test what suits them most and go along with it.
Hey firebug, I visited your site.... please explain your css trick in detail. When I visited the site, i could not see the css effect.
