I have a website in which I rank #1 on google for my key terms. Im getting traffic but I am only making a couple dollars a day. I guess my question is.
Is this the average income for this amount of traffic?
Can you fine gentlemen please take a look at my stats and give some feedback?

Im new to adsense and any help will be appreciated

Need to know:
- Real traffic or paid traffic?
- Niche?
- Ad zone positions?

Your click through rate is really low. On most of my adsense based websites I'm getting CTR's of 1 to 5%.
With 10,000 views on most of my sites I would be making around $30-50

Anyway, it might be your source of traffic and more likely it is your ad placement. Are your ads appearing in hidden places at the bottom of the page? Try bigger ads and make them more visible.

At the end of 2012 adsense came out with a 300 by 600 ad unit......switch to this....my earnings went from 15-20 to 50-70 daily....hopefully it fits well with your theme

Image and text but I find that this unit mostly shows text.....atleast when I go to my sites and on adsense all my clicks are 90 percent text.......a nice thing is they sometime stack the ads onthis larg3 unit so you get multiple ads in one unit

Find out which placement gets most clicks, then only show that placement - clicks will be on only highest paying ads. Showing too many ads in certain markets makes your eCPC too low. But you def need a better CTR for it too work well

Well... What's your bounce rate like? The longer they stay the higher the probability that they click an ad.

However, personally, I am pretty sure it is the placement of your ads which is wrong. This is the heatmap that you need, (and the official one at that.)

I think we are doing the same things, but i use Pinterest to drive traffic
and i am getting 35$/day with an average 1700 UV
can advice more if you want.. need to know the exact placement and size of your ads

WTF why is my cpc varying so much and so low?

I feel like I should be making more with these numbers.

I think Low Quality Countries is what your problem is so the CPC is a lot smaller, from which countries does your traffic come?

I think your earnings and click through rate is pretty standard for a white hat site in your niche in Adsense.
Adsense is very very much a niche based think. Many sort of sites will simply never make better than 0.5% CTR in Adsense, if you want to stay white hat in your techniques, what I believe you want.

For ad sense to work, you need to be in the right niche, choose your keywords wisely, keywords should have good CPC, site must be efficiently optimized and there must be a good flow of steady income stream.

One good ad sense website can generate you thousands of dollars monthly.

I made some updates in adplacements that members suggested and it seems Im avg 10$ a day. (up about 7$) for the past two days! TY GUYS.

But CPC is still very low. Still same avg

you cant really change cpc, that has to do with the keywords and how much people pay for them. $10 a day for this site isnt really bad considering the low relevance.

how about giving Adsense a break and trying some CPA instead? you don't really have much to loose if you try it for a few days
i bet you can do much better than this with email submits for instance (fashion, free giftcards, gadgets etc.), with the right offer you can multiply your $10/day easily, it's only 6-7 email submits, even if you manage to get a really bad EPC, you could make much more with 3k UVs/day knowing the fact that around 2/3 of the traffic is US and with countries like CA/UK/AU the useful traffic is ~3/4

if i were you, i wouldn't waste ig traffic on Adsense, not even for a day more

Try experimenting with ad units, types and put them somewhere on top of your pages.... I had low CTR like you, but I changed my ad type to image only and my earnings increased

My CTR is now up to 1% but my CPC is lowest ever. SMH. I think I may give a CPA a try

Bro i would stick with adsense if i where you i may be wrong but over all my sites this seems to be what happens, i get a really low cpc when i start getting clicks when the site first comes out i would be getting around 1-2k visitors from google everyday with around a 2-4% ctr and a cpc of around $0.7 but then after a few months it always jumps to like $0.30 and it has happend to all 6 of my sites i stuck with them all for around a year working hard on them and now i make nice bank. I wouldnt give up it seems like if you can prove that the clicks you are providing are converting for the advertiser you will get a cpc boost.

I have been using adsense for a while and you want your click rate to be able 2%
