You want strong backlinks of different kinds in as many places as possible, and to back these links up with more links. Basically, you can't do too much reinforcing of your backlinks, and don't do it all in one sitting. Come back to them and add more, so it's multi-layered.

I agree, Backlink diversity is important but OP alive or not is more important than that!
