It seems like nobody knows the answer to this so I would like to hear an opinion. Google Search on this topic returns nothing but some guys claiming that it's 100% safe while others say they got banned for using it.

On MGID itself: it's legit, you get more visitors back than you send them.

Sooo... will you get banned from Adsense if you use the MGID Widget? Also, what do you think about the others (like 2leep, etc...)

I am talking about a 100% white hat site, except for, well the MGID widget.

I've never used that widget but any type of traffic exchange or traffic buying method is dangerous for Adsense sites. The clicks don't convert for advertisers which means you will be at risk of being banned. No one can give you a guarantee that it is safe.

Yes I know all these things, but Google itself doesn't say anything about it specifically. That's why I am asking you guys if you experienced being banned just because you were using MGID. I some rather big sites use the widget together with Adsense and they have no problem with it.

Google is fine with a lot of unethical stuff where they advertise on.

I have never seen anything in the TOS about services like MGID. Don't always trust people's reasons for getting banned from adsense.. truth is they were probably doing something much worse and just blamed it on MGID.

But like LBrown said, MGID will not get you quality traffic.. it's a lot like those traffic exchange programs from the 90's. Sure it will boos your traffic stats, but your cpm will go down because those users probably won't click anything.

Your time is better spent finding hot topics to post about for your niche, and pushing out more content. Use sites like ubersuggest to figure out what people are searching for and title your articles with those exact searches.. google eats that stuff up.

I swear this is illegal and you are not supposed to do this if you want to keep yourself in the safe zone. Google directly never did mention this names but, but, but if you follow the the terms and conditions, you would find, details about the required quality of the site visitors. But another thing is clear. Google count pages showing website but not a whole website (If the website is not directly related to pornography). So, if you really interested on those traffic exchange modules, you may create special category for that and show different adds other than adsense. You will be fine. Those who claimed never got threat are too lucky people.

It's only because MGID has lewd and risque stuff. If you use a safer service then you should be ok. I have been using scribol for quite sometime with no issues. I have been getting paid by Google using scribol for the last 3 months. MGID had tits and crap so I couldn't use it.
