Thumbs up [Case Study] Confusion with people having low CPC/CTR!

    Confusion with CPC/CTR!

I see people say that their CPC is $0.01-0.02 and all, and my blog isn't even fully established and I'm getting a good $10 a day from Adsense as my average CPC is $0.87. And I get about 200 visitors a day and 10-15 clicks extremely consistency (this hasn't stopped). I would just like to know what 'NICHE' you are involved in if you are one of these people and I would like to help out. Funny how I can get an income of someone having trouble with 5K views per day yet I get 200. I'm the one struggling with Keyword Research (not that I can't do it) and its just very wierd... I have 27 pages of my site indexed (all unique) and I just can't stop getting clicks. Most income I had gotten in a day is $30 USD.

I wish I could show my income proof but BHW doesn't let me since I'm not a trusted member yet. I really dont think people with a Health Niche Keyword should be struggling with CPC but like I'm confused. Please post below if you are having this problem.

    My Differences:
    1. I am a apprentice on Graphics so I make my titles with cute graphics.

Indepth: I think the reason I'm getting clicks is because my graphics looks a bit of a welcoming theme and they think my advertisements are a part of my content.

    2. I have decent hyper links on my words on post. I like to add post hyperlinks to get more visitors. Normally I get 100 visitors that view an average of 2 pages.

    3. I highlight, Italic, Underline, Bold, Color in my texts quite often.

Indepth: I haven't seen many people do this, and I just like to be creative and I'd give it a go.

    4. I got indexed within the first week of blogging.

    5. I've got barely 1000 back links. (not indexed)

Indepth: I checked most of them and 20% are PR 0 and 80% is PR 3-6. I have about 1,000 Back Links... I am currently getting my backlinks indexed by a friend on BHW and I will write my results down below.

    --------------------------------------------

I am a bit scared of the fact people with like PR4 have been getting a income of $0.5 + per day and yet I have a free hosted blogspot and I am 0 PR getting $9-10 per day averagely. I'd like to evaluate what I'm doing right.

I'm scared because the BIG G might just stomp on me... Like I had gotten my $80 taken away from me once (not blaming google) because I was a PR 0 gaining so incredible income from them and they were putting my cash on hold which made me thinking "Wait a second, I went 99% White Hat all the way with this".

And then FORTUNATELY they didn't mind at all because they thought it was a proxy (They are known as Proxy Kings) and $80.00 Appeared back in my pocket!

    Any questions asked are answered.

Note: ANY INVOLVEMENT WITH THE USERNAME I HAVE (ADSENSE KING) PLEASE DO NOT MOCK ME AS I WILL REPORT YOU TO A MODERATOR ON BHW AND YOU WILL HAVE YOUR POST AND YOUR ACCOUNT TEMPORARILY INFRACTED. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MANY PEOPLE.

I'm in pain today. Messed up my back so that might explain why I'm confused. At this point I don't know wither to wind my ass or scratch my watch...

EDIT: No wait, I have a second Question: You say you have 200 visitors and 10-15 Clicks. So how is 0.5-0.75% a high CTR?

In my experience, placement of ads and color of ads is quite important.

I have one site that consistently gets 6-9% CTR and another that consistently gets 1-2% CTR. The layout of the site and the ad placement is just about identical, but the niche is very different. I'm far from being an expert, but it leads me to believe that your niche will make a big difference in the visitors mindset, whether they are in a buying mood or reading info mood. Also, your niche has to have high Adwords competition to get good CPC.

I believe you are expecting $0.50-$1.00 which is the average Ad CPC on Celebrity Niche's... How much CPC are you getting?

It's not just the placement of ads that affect how many clicks you get.
If you have good content, it depends on the overall feel of your website. It needs to be related to your site. ie a news themed wordpress posting image content would be stupid. you get it.

I just changed my theme recently, and I have seen a massive improvement on my CTR.
    Good luck!

The best ads that get high CTR are 300x250, so you should have 2 of those on the main page above the fold line.

You CTR should improve to 5% or more easily depending on how much content is on your site.

So with 600 visitors, you should be getting an easy 30+ clicks.

I don't understand the love for the rectangle ads...where do you guys place them that you get such a good CTR from them?

I have placed them below title, after article, and in the middle (all at different times obviously). They always perform very bad.

I've found solid CTR with a half banner below title and at the end of the post.

Leaderboard is a hit or miss, and so is side skyscraper.

I've recently begun trying to use 2 squares side by side, it's been ok.
