My main site is monetized solely by adsense. I have my main site built with my primary keyword that gets about 2500 hits a month. I want to keep building the site up. When I am looking up new keywords related to my primary keyword, should I focus on CPC or Monthly traffic?

Example

Keyword #1 gets about 20 searches a month but CPC is $10
vs
Keyword #2 gets about 2000 searches a month but CPC is $1

i think you should focus on the monthly traffic..

Yeah, CPC is pretty dynamic and as long as you have a surge of incoming traffic you can always try out different ways of monetization and I'm sure you'll find something that makes you more money than adsense....

Go for High Traffic.

I prefer to focus on monthly traffic. But you can easily build 2 pages, one for high CPC kwd, and 2nd for high volume traffic kwd =)

CPC Is not accurate and is almost always way below what the keyword tool suggests. Go for monthly traffic in my opinion.

Try to focus on monthly traffic, then the CPC will be obviously up to the mark. But, do a bit research and try to combine both if possible.
