First post, had a break from IM, now I am back.

Thanks for blackhatworld for providing such a amazing community. I hope this thread will help some people, but I,myself is constantly learning as well

So basically I started creating this site at the new year, think of it as a new year resolution thing. So it was finally done this week. And I am happy to say I am getting some traffic

Visits are all UV from analytics

Day 1: 2 (both of them me )
Day 2: 40
Day 3 61
Day 4: 79
Day 5: 198

and I got 5 clicks on day 4

please let me know if it is ok to post analytics screenshots with details hidden, I think it would be helpful for some members. Thanks

where are you getting your traffic from at the moment?

I think a lot of people would like to know how to get those 200 uniques after 5 days...They can't be organic, that's for sure, but still...

actually it is organic, i got most traffic from yahoo and bing. google didnt index me untill yesterday since when I built my site I made a lot of changes and lead to a lot of 404. So I think google didn't wait until my site to settle and seeing I got traffic from yahoo and bing and started index me yesterday.

And I know people like what I posted because I didn't do any social submitting but I got two backlink from facebook.

hmm.... so you've made a new site and then made 2 backlinks via Facebook and now all of a sudden you're getting 200 organic visitors a day.

I find that hard to believe.

Me too right? I dont believe myself as well when I see the stats. That's why I am posting to share with you guys. Maybe I am doing something right.

It is not suddenly I got 200 organic visits. I believe it's I have done my homework. I found a niche that requires more than exact keyword targeting and all that. I never liked micro niche myself.

I would love to post the screenshots to prove but I cannot post url yet. Trust me, I don't have the spare time to post some fake posts and sound like 15 year old wannabe douche.

Some hint for my site: it requires some language skills, ie you have to be good enough to know both languages to spot the gap.

btw I rank for long tail keys that I didnt target for. They rank well I think because of my on-site seo, I believe. As yahoo seemed to like my site a lot, knowing it also focusing on on-site seo more than other SE

turned out it was 198 uv yesterday. I think I will have quite a bit less uv today, since yesterday was a big one where I ranked no.1 on yahoo for a long tailed that turned out to be trending.

Bounce rate is coming down now.

Site was down for half day, since it was hacked. Now it's back on.

What theme are you use? and how much articles do you post a day?

I am using thestyle by eleganthemes. I am posting 10+ articles a day. Mostly trending terms.

Cool thread man, thats a good amount of articles per day. Since your going for an authority site it must be good unique content right? Are you writing it yourself?

well to be frank, right now they are spun. I am trying to contact other bloggers to be my contributor. Or hire someone to write for me. It is difficult when your site is not popular. Therefore my goal is to first establish a presence in my niche.

And since we are in "adsense" forum, just wanna mention that I am not getting a lot of money out of this current, I am just focusing the layout, the speed and the content of the site.
On average, I get around $2-3 USD per day and the cpc is around $0.5

And for those that are interested. most of them are organic:

I am looking for a plugin that helps with the navigation of the site, I have tried WP-PageNavi, but it doesnt really do what I want. I need a plugin that shows something like:
You are here: AAA (category)>BBB (sub- category)

Please let me know if there is such plugin. Thanks!

Oh one more thing, by using piwik - a real time visitor tracking script, I have made some interesting observation. I realised the site speed is really important, it affects your bounce rate, time on site and page views. Thus I tried to optimise my site quite often these days. There is no point just getting visitor here and they bounce. If the page view increases, that means they are clicking and thus increasing the chance of clicking the ad. Well at least that's my theory.
