Hi,

is this safe adsense layout?


CTR is 16,5% from 1st december until today and CPC is 0,41€. Eranings from this site from 1st december until today is around 100€.

Niche is in travel, cruises. Site is very content rich, over ten very good articles, at least 500 words.

Maybe im just little paranoid

Someone who thinks its not safe, please let me know and give your suggestions.

I would not say it is safe. Where an average internet user expects menu, there are ads. That leads to lot of clicks that do not convert....

I saw here threads already from guys with similar layout that were crying to be banned. You should rather change it, to not risk. At this time your earnings are not interesting enough for Adsense team to bother about you.

But once they are, they come to check things and you'll be banned.

Thats too many ads block for me, you know the ratio between ads and content have to be more balance, less ads will be better. Further more you doing another ads serves like amazon so less adsense will be more better, put on something more relevant to reader and google will serve your ads more high pay clicks. Sometime more is mean less.

It is not safe. Your adsense links seems like menu. If i were viewer i would ban your account. Also CTR is 16,5% is extreme. I have 0.20 ctr lol

In my experience up to 10% CTR is good...also if you have identifiable menu option on top of your page then placing text link ad on that position is fine. I personally using the same almost over a year but my traffic is 7000/day on that site and I see many good site use the same tactic to get some click..I get very good result with such text link ads especially on festive season. In my view the theme is safe but the header hurting my eye.

if you'll give up the upper one that looks like a menu than you can be less paranoid (if it doesn't help try a good pill...)

totally normal. Just the quality of traffic must be good. and it will convert so good. trust me

Very interesting layout, however a lot of mixed opinions about whats right and whats wrong. I have yet to work with adsense but to be honest if i came across this site and i found three quarters of the page in ads i would click off. But as you say, you have a really good ctr ratio so you must be doing something right.

However i couldn't help but be a little worried about Google seeing the site and slapping a ban, they seem to do this for the slightest thing.

It's safe, don't listen to this guy ^^^^

using same layout for years, and never had a problem. Google does not ban because of ads layout, they ban for other reasons.

And what do you think this amount is?

It looks fine. The ads on the left are not under a title saying that is a navigation section, nor are there other links blending above the ad unit. So it does not look like part of a navigation section. It looks like ads. Which is fine. Our google rep has said that a CTR of 10% to 15% is worrisome. Below that is okay.
