im getting around 150 organics a day now on one of my new sites but ctr is still low overall- still only around 5 dollars adsense per day

is this to be expected or should i be making more?

some of the kws are at positions 2 and 3 now others at 5 and 6

im not sure if its just this is to be expected or if i could get more out of them so I want to get a better idea to know where to focus my efforts- increasing ctr or new kws.

I have another site which gives huge ctr with nothing fancy so Im thinking its more to do with the kws.

What is the average cpc you are getting ?

Is the advertiser competition for your targeted keywords high or low ?

The advertiser comp is low, but I dont see what that matters? Im already on front pager as I said. So rnaking isnt the issue.

No do not try to increase clickthrough ratio. You are getting more than 10 clicks per day for 150 views that is already a lot.
Try to get more traffic either by targetting more keywords or creating another site.

I´d try to get the keywords ranking 5/6 at least into top3 first, that will give you a boost in traffic

I think he was referring to advertisers not organic competition. Higher ad competition can mean better cpc. Your stats aren't bad. I would work on rankings and more keywords. Play around with different ad layouts.

This is good cos now its given me a working method which I just have to refine and scale.

It took me around a month (starting the new site around new year) to get that 5 dollars/day so I'ma try rinse and repeat.
