My adsense account dates back to 2005 when I was working in India and I have been making a good income ever since. The latest check I got was not honored by the bank because the check only has my first and last name and not my first/middle/last name. Weird because all my previous checks have been encashed with no problems at all.

Google's support is perhaps one of the worst I have ever seen. Since the account address is based in India, the only option I have is to close the account and open a new one (even if it means having to just include my middle name). I make $200 on average per month and this is depressing to say the least.

Can anyone from India using google adsense advise me on this issue please?

Its not about good money or not. It was passive income and steady. With this stupid name issue, now the check is just another piece of toilet paper.

That sucks man. Have you tried posting in the Adsense help forums? Why don't you try getting paid with Western Union next time?

WU is not an option for Indian adsense account holders. I just posted the query on the adsense forum, although I doubt if anyone from Google will actually look into it

I'm sure that you have already looked at it but since you didn't mention it can you setup a direct deposit?

Or, open another bank account with a different bank if they will deposit it after you show them the check. Bring a print out of your deposits from the last 12 months from your current bank so the new bank will feel more comfortable processing the checks for you.

I'm not from India so I'm not sure about the banking systems over there.

Option 1: Go to bank & talk to the manger.
Option 2: Open account at a different bank.

Open an account at different bank with just your First name and Last name and deposit the check there. Its not a big deal.

if i'm not mistaken, Payoneer have a solution for this, you can have a virtual account with them (Indians can't get a card tho) which can be used with Adsense, for more info ask their representatives on this forum (Talia or Nissim), i have seen threads discussing this or just use their online contact form

Hey,

Payoneer does offer a US Payment Service which allows you to receive incoming ACH transfers from approved senders in the US. Payments are then made available on a Payoneer prepaid debit MasterCard card which can be used online and offline at any location worldwide accepting debit MasterCard.

Unfortunately, due to restrictions imposed by the Indian government and local banking authorities, all non-Indian companies are prohibited from issuing Visa/MasterCard card to Indian residents (which includes Payoneer). As such, the US Payment Service is not an option for Indian residents (as you would have no way of accessing your funds).

The bitching aspect for google is due to the fact that their support system is completely crapped. I can understand having a vast database of FAQ's, but issues like this aren't covered. Read the thread properly before commenting

Why would they cover an issue which is unrelated to them? If your bank has changed the rules on you then go bitch at them. I read the thread properly and once again, it's not a Google problem, it's your banks problem.

open a bank account with a large bank that lets you mail checks for deposit. This way nobody actually looks at the cheque. As long as your last name is present the rest should be ok.
