Do Google prosecute ClickJackers?
So I've been putting together a few ideas and I am going to try ClickJacking on Google Adsense next to see how it pans out. Now based on the presumption I went 6 months without being caught using it and receive multiple payments from them already, do you think they would take me to court to reclaim their money already paid out if they can do that?
For this example, lets say I was earning $3,000 per month so for 6 months, a total of $18,000. Would/could they take this to court to regain their payout cash?
*I am currently based in the UK so this would be under English Law.

Re: Do Google prosecute ClickJackers?
I doubt it but it'd definitely be funny to hear their argument if it ever happens.
Google: "Defendant used a technique known as clickjacking to steal ad clicks from our Adsense program"
Judge: "What the fuck?!"

Well, I'll make sure I get a transcript of the case if it happens and will definitely post it here
.
Any idea when they would start then in terms of monthly income?

Not heard of it happening, but technially it is fraud so it's possible.

Worst that can happen is that your account gets suspended and you make a new one to continue.
It'll cost them way more (in time + money) to go to court with you.

Fortunately for me I guess, Civil Court cannot issue a custodial sentence, only Criminal charges can hand out a stay in jail.

If it is fraud, then Google should repay their customer too right, meaning they make no profit and hopefully wouldn't then take the case to court. Obviously I am not expert in Law by any means, but just applying a bit of common sense.

Do they pick up on multiple accounts?

Re: Do Google prosecute ClickJackers?
It is obviously fraud, which is a criminal offense whether in the USA or UK. They could file charges. Will they? Who knows. Depends on how mad they get at you.
Why the f**k would you want to commit fraud in order to make money on the web? Can't you find a legitimate way to make money?
All I can say is that youj are a fool. But that is your choice.

It isn't criminal Fraud, there is a huge difference between commercial and private fraud, and this falls under commercial fraud, therefore it is not an offense which police in the UK will deal with, it will be up to Google whether to take this to Civil courts.
Also, AdSense is only a base. ClickJacking can be used to gather likes, Youtube Views, browser information etc etc. As I am fully within the Law on all of my actions, my only way into trouble would be that of a civil case for not abiding to a ToS.
And yes I have legitimate ways - but you never fully understand anything until you've done every aspect of it.

Re: Do Google prosecute ClickJackers?
For the amount you are asking it is very unlikely. If you make a few millions from clickjacking then yes they will sue you for every last penny you got. But it will be insanely hard to prove it in court if you do it right. I mean if you cloack your shit they will be able to show only some crappy statisticks as evidence and probably call "experts". Such a case could take years to resolve. That's why they won't bother for pocket change.
quantity has a quality of its own

I dont know what it is. But.. with decent traffic, and some good proxies, looks like you can get away with that for a long time.

Pocket change would constitute a few million for Google and with that money I could probably hire more lawyers than they'd be willing to. And yes, it is cloaked extremely well.

So you don't know what it is an you're giving recommendations? Clickjacking is basically making a user click something else they didn't intend when they clicked on a page, so if they thought they clicked a text link to read an article, suddenly pops up another completely irrelevant affiliate page for example - so you can control the clicks on your site. It isn't illegal because you aren't forcing them to click and as long as you own the hosting space and abide by the host ToS too, it is all perfectly fine by Law.

Be interesting, but very much doubt it unfortunately. Heck, if I make news and get a hefty fine, I am sure Diamond Damion will pay it for advertising if I wear a BHW shirt
