So I made my first blog on Thursday night. I got 150 views that day so I applied for Adsense.

Anyway on Friday I got 1000 views and today I was accepted.

So far I've gotten 200 views with $.01 made.

This seems pretty low. Are people just not clicking or does this seem right?

This is my very first time trying this. I didn't use any back linking software, its just a blog spot.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well CTR depends alot on your adsense structure and you have to keep in mind what kind of blog you are running.

No offence but it seems like it's you that keeps looking at your own blog...

Adsense counts your own impressions but obviously will ban you if ever you happen to click bomb yourself...

The real question is how did you get 1000 visitors right after creating the blog?

For example I have 400 impressions with .10 made?

I've been getting a lot of traffic from my own advertising.

Did you use the Adwords Keyword checker to see how much your blog keywords make?

depends what kind of blog you have, and what keywords you have it centered around. maybe try adding some related affiliate products/cpa offers to it.

I don't even know what the majority of that stuff is.

I literally made a blogspot and posted links on several forums.

I didn't do any research on the topic, its just something I knew a lot about.

Are you using any PTC advertising, if yes then clean it ASAP, cos Big don't like that on a site with adsense. At the same time, don't do anything stupid to increase clicks like asking your friends, ect. Hope you don't want to join the club. Anyways, congrats.

Im at 2,000 views in 3 days right now. My site views (since adsense) are at 950 but my CTR is only 1.31%.

It simply seems that the ads on your website have a very low CPC. There are some out there where you will get paid anywhere between $0.01 to even possibly $4 per ad clicked.

The niche I'm targeting has a CPC of around $6 so when I setup adsense on my blog, all clicks will earn me quite a bit even with low CTR.

use the google adwords tool, type in your keyword and then make it so you can see CPC .

I was doing this as a test and im a little hesitent to put money in.

That's not that bad. Try using amazon affiliate, I had a blog with less than 50 unique visitors, but made 30 cents from amazon sales LOL

When i started putting adsense codes in my webpage, i only get crap advertisement which are really unrelated to my target keyword/s and blog topic. What i did is provide more content related to my blog topic, optimize it the search engine and wait until adsense see my blog as relevant enough for my niche and send "good" ads to me.
