CTR low and using nulled theme? possible skimming
Ive got a few niche sites up and going and seeing decent traffic on them, the most trafficked ones using twitter as the main source of traffic. I'm seeing quite low CTR on them though. I'm using a nulled version of a popular adsense styled theme on all of the sites and wondering if possibly the guys added in a backdoor of some sorts so my ads only display say 50% of the time. This apparently is not uncommon. How do i check if there is some sort of backdoor in the code? Anything in particular i could search for in the files? Ive included a snapshot of my earnings for the past 30 days, ive only just started really getting into IM so all sites were launched within that period and the earnings are in South African Rand. Lastly just checking the zip with the theme, its got a readme from wplocker? They appear to provide themeforest themes and plugins etc has anybody had any problems with these guys before?

Never heard of them so can't give you an honest review but it's not hard to through up a generic theme with a wordpress plugin like Ad Manager and monitor your earnings over the course of a week to see if there is a difference. Is that screen shot over the course of a day?

Just compare your analytics account data vs your adsense numbers, if you have adsense on all pages, the numbers should be very close. If someone is stealing 50% you will see a lot more on analytics than on adsense (talking about pageviews).

Those were over 30 days, all the sites first 30 days in fact. I might do that with the very first site and see if that helps and affects things the alternative which is probably more likely is that i read through every single file to see whats being called.

For the site with the most page views there is about a 500 view difference with what adsense and analytics show. Actually hang on, adsense reports more views than Analytics so it should be fine. Just checked with the second highest UV site and same, adsense reports more views than analytics.
Everything appears to be in order? Would you say that going through the files regardless is a must?

Sorry, this is a bit off topic, just be careful with twitter as main traffic source on an adsense site.
Avoid: "Promoting your site on third-party sites not designed for site promotion, or where such promotion is unwanted, such as classifieds or social networking sites. "
(adsense noob central>tracking earnings and payment>increase traffic appropriately (No.3))

Check for "eval" statements in your code or any long, weird sequence of non-readable characters. In general with php themes if you have a backdoor, it should be moderately easy to get rid of or at least identify it. HTH!

Will have a read through in the next day or so to make certain of things. Thanks

I got the same theme as you i think, and have the same question, im not sure of skimming but my money fluctuates quite a bit (some days 4$ some days 0$) but i think it is natural, depends on if you get a good day with clickaholic visitors.
I think i will try bluesense for a while, and note any changes.
